Mathman025 -> Guarding Lore: Part 1 (7/22/2012 0:59:13)

Part 1: Knowing Where I Was.

I had begun to take a look and see what had been going on at my Frostval Estate, when I started to really see who had been by my home at the time. These dragons, ice golems, vampires, and anything else in between had began to terrorize my properties. "Why am I always out here protecting my home?" I thought. Then, I forgot about where I really was: Lore.

I have been out here fighting my butt off for the past six years. I remember when I first started: my spells weren't strong. My armors couldn't hold on. However, the monsters were either easy or hard. That depended on what I thought was a "reward" and a form of "equipment." Time had past, and I saw how Lore began to change.

I remember my first Frostval. Oh, those were the days. The Nightmare Queen was just a total witch who wanted us to be as dark as the chances for a Philadelphia Sports team to own a championship. I couldn't wait to show her who's boss, especially the weaker version of her. However, it was her daughter I was worried about the most. Why was she stuck with her? Was this a kidnapping plot? Did she really know who her parents were? I wanted to find out, but I might have a chance this year.

Speaking of chances, I have had the liberty of owning my first home last year. My goodness, it was beautiful. This little Tiki Hut next to the ocean had the most beautiful sunlight that sparkled the entire beach. I could hear the Malagru and Battle Whales call out in the ocean. Wereseals were out hunting for food. I had the privilege of learning how to take care of a house and an estate: Gardening, gathering wood, paying for my electricity, and building from the sand up. Trouble was that I didn't know my "employees" couldn't defend themselves. I fought long and hard to defend my home against predatory eyes, and each monster I faced was total randomness. So much blood was shed, and Death was on my side more than my own pets.

Today, I own a new home in the Frostval village. I just love this snow. I can go out an hunt the ReignDragon so he can (forcefully) start my warm fire. I can manage more properties. I can also buy more inventory as I venture out for each new quest or war. Trouble is that I feel so alone. No one comes by to visit except the usual Phoenix or a vampire when I'm asleep. (sigh) Sooner or later, I may find my purpose out here in Lore. It may take me some time.
