Hiya DragonFablers!

You wanted more various threads of discussion about Classes and we listened! This week and every week following, we will be introducing a thread for every class in DragonFable.

This thread: All things DoomKnight Armor.
Now for the rules of this thread:

  • All =AE= Comprehensive Forum Rules apply.
  • The "All Classes" thread will remain pinned to the top of the forum until all the current class threads are released.
  • There will be a Class Directory stickied to the top of the forum once a few class threads are active for quick locating.
  • On suggestions: The DragonFable staff offer specialized suggestion threads from time to time and you may post your suggestions when those events occur.
  • Please keep discussions to the DoomKnight armor.
  • Most important: Have fun!

    I hear the class is very OP'd! I've seen YouTube videos proving it! Too bad its so expensive for the whole set.[:(] Oh well. Can't have everything in life. It just leads to unhappiness and boredom.[:)]

    Doom knight indeed is one powerful armor with uniqe skills and is great helper in wars doing foot waves. When i first saw this armor, i decide to get it right away. At first doom knight helmet seemed pretty funy and reminded me of red bucket with horns. But realy, doom knight is combination of beauty, power and invincability. It could have a liiiiittle bit better animations to make this armor perfect but we dont realy need it since other outdated clases screems for upgrade long long time ago.

    i do wish it had that attack seppy uses in the fight with drakath, where he holds his arm back then does like 5 rly powerful blasts

    The Doomknight armor, the 1 armor in the game. If you have it, it basically makes the game cakewalk. I prefer to play the underdog and use the ranger class, I only use Doomknight to farm and for wars.

    no doubt the biggest baddest class of the entire game best for wars and long farming runs (wish i had this when i went for me 150 tm gems to get me hammers from him) other then that it tends to make the game very boring as it takes away the challange in the game even with hard mode (imo) and even durning farming/WARs it tends to bore me the only two things i wish for this class was a cc version and not being pure ebil

    I have never tried the armor myself. Thought I am certainly tempted to~ Maybe someday ^^ I have seem I glimpse of it power though...

    Something this powerful, should it even exist?

    Personally, I think DoomKnight is one of, if not the best class in DF because its skills are so unique and require a great deal of strategy to utilize. Or at least, that was the case until it got its uber-buff to deal 300%+ damage on every hit. All of the unique skills sit unused because everything can be overcome with ease through raw, sheer damage.

    My only encounters with the DoomKnight armor come from PVP, where if you can survive the first 5 turns it self destructs. I've heard it can be a lot more deadly, though. I might get it sometime, it sounds kind of fun to go on an unstoppable rampage through DF...

    I have the sword, but I'll wait till next year!
    I can get the armor now, but I am not in the mood of doing so...
    Besides, the old classes are up for a rewamp.
    Doom Knight itself is almost too powerful... And I like it when the quests are a little bit difficult. :)

    I like spamming Blood Rite until a quest becomes difficult, then refusing to use any healing items/skills. It's pretty fun that way, and it's still hard to die.

    Oh, and don't use Blood Rite on Sepulchure. I dunno what I was thinking...

    It has really, REALLY, helped a lot with farming, and gollie is it fun to use! I especially love using it to berserk for major damage in a few turns.

    I like the class and the fact that it is the only armor that doesn't have a skill to raise block or defenses, because it doesn't need it. Life carving, blood rites and shadow allow you to keep your hp up while the enemy's drops like a stone in the ocean.

    One thing I agree with would be updating some of the skill animations. It'd be nice if, since we have had them for a while, it had more than one possible animation for 'attack.' It also be nice if Doom Blast had the animation changed to the 'doom bomb' that Sepulchure used. The stance could also use a little change too.

    All in all, updated animations and a new stance would make the armor better.

    PS: I do agree that using some of sepulchure's animations would make the armor more fun to use. Also making it so Doom Knights stop killing themselves in PvP would be nice too.

    @WarMongerRave: Hit them with 'Shadow' first, then you'll know the meaning of the term 'overpowered.'

    Doom Knight armor is epic, I think it would be awesome if they brought out a quest for Doom Knight were the armor starts to change you and you start to feel the DOOM! and make it one of the hardest quest possible seeing as though the armor makes you virtually unstoppable and maybe at the end of it you earn a new look for the Doom Knight gear.

    Pretty much this... Doomknight hits for so much damage (300% is just the base amount on it...) the game is La-Z Boy Mode. Normally outside of releases I'll just goof around with other classes...

    DmK is OP but sounds fun enough. However it's to OP for me. I don't own Doom Knight but I do have the NsD. It's powerful in it's own right. Based off the power of the NsD I can only imagine that DmK is immensely powerful and thanks to the internet I have proof. In summary the class of DmK sounds to powerful for me. I know there are those who can handle it but I'd probably use it for everything. Until I learn self restraint I can't handle DmK.

    My quest idea was that the armor eventually takes control of draining your moral self and that you have to quest to the origins of where the doom armor is forged (or something like that ) and the enemies you fight are as equally buffed as your are so instead of a repetitious quest line make it a how on earth do i beat it quest where you must utilize to full capability of the armor itself and after have an upgrade were you must merge 2000 !!! DM's to upgrade each piece which would also get people to war alot more hopefully.
