@Jop Discarding 3 cards would be cool if PDs deck was filled with more 100s and pierces, and less of the good cards, but yeah with it's deck Neutralize was just a hindrance. Now, however it gets rid of one of those pesky pierces and 200s to make room for Iron Hide.

Is Nulgath going to make character pages? If so I'd like them to be similar to AQWorlds character pages. Mainly the achievements part of the page. Like for example an achievement for Upholders and some that can be achieved throughout the story line and some hidden ones.

Things will come in time, Rolith was working on an OS character page before Project Omni started, or he intended to, but things got put on hold and delayed as more focus was placed on Omni. Give the developers time and things will get done, the key word is "time" here because major things like new features and even a character page require a lot of time to be made.

Character Pages will be implanted in the future.

@Axel459: Thank you, that answered my question very well [:)]

Is poison the most costly DoT card? If so, did they do this to balance the element?

The Jop -> RE: =OS= Oversoul Questions & Answers XII (Read the first post) (11/12/2013 13:31:39)

No, it does 1200 damage for 6 energy, which is 2x efficiency. Compare that to Mark of Death, Mountain Strike, and Storm and you can see that it has a better damage to energy ratio. Corruption would be the most costly DoT card; it does 2000 damage for 10 energy which is the same efficiency (and animation) as Poison.

Boom u doom -> RE: =OS= Oversoul Questions & Answers XII (Read the first post) (11/12/2013 13:37:39)

But the most cost efficient card would still be the other lightning DoT right? (can't remember the name right now Electric Arc).

The Jop -> RE: =OS= Oversoul Questions & Answers XII (Read the first post) (11/12/2013 13:44:07)

Yes, 1200 damage for 4 energy would be 3x efficiency.

Boom u doom -> RE: =OS= Oversoul Questions & Answers XII (Read the first post) (11/12/2013 14:09:05)

Ok, thanks for your time.

The Jop -> RE: =OS= Oversoul Questions & Answers XII (Read the first post) (11/12/2013 14:11:33)

Hm? You're welcome, it was my pleasure. That's very polite of you.

TheSage -> RE: =OS= Oversoul Questions & Answers XII (Read the first post) (11/12/2013 14:45:05)

Keep in mind its a Cost/Turn/Damage ratio that keeps them for the most part equal.

Gorillo Titan -> RE: =OS= Oversoul Questions & Answers XII (Read the first post) (11/12/2013 14:49:29)

arc is the best DOT since you can stack so many of them in one turn

Skurge -> RE: =OS= Oversoul Questions & Answers XII (Read the first post) (11/12/2013 15:18:44)

Gorillo Titan: True, but it's very slow as well (200 damage per turn). So it's definitely not the best.

The Jop -> RE: =OS= Oversoul Questions & Answers XII (Read the first post) (11/12/2013 17:10:42)

@Skurge
It depends on how long the battle goes on. You could put up what will do 6000 damage over 6 turns in one turn. For shorter battles, things like Mountain Strike, Storm, and Mark of Death are more useful. At higher levels, electric arc has a much better chance of running its full course. Electric Arc hasn't been fully realized yet because they're only on very offensive characters like Hex Void and Volt Engineer where they may not get through all 6 turns.

Skurge -> RE: =OS= Oversoul Questions & Answers XII (Read the first post) (11/12/2013 17:28:56)

Precisely! In long battles, Energy Arc is definitely the best (combined with Energy characters high damage output) whereas Fire Whirl or Corruption may not be the ideal option.

I had to learn this the hard way during the Fire Tournament [&:]. I began to spam Fire Whirl during the last few rounds which was clearly not a good choice.

The Finnish Phoenix -> RE: =OS= Oversoul Questions & Answers XII (Read the first post) (11/12/2013 18:24:39)

Yes, and we haven't been able to realize Electric Arc's full potential because the current characters capable of using it are better off going for instantaneous attack combos involving Charged and SuperCharged, as their low defenses mean they can't prolong the battle to ensure they can get the most out of their Arcs.

The Jop designed Resonance with this in mind. Right now, the aforementioned pragmatic considerations mean that Electric Arc currently isn't even close to being the most effective DoT in the game, regardless of its efficiency. Once Resonance is released though, we will be able to completely reassess how good it is and it may very well prove as effective and integral as cards like Corruption, Poison, and Shatter. Resonance looks great on paper, but only time will tell how it competes in practice. It will be fun and fascinating to be able to tinker around with it!

Kiazz -> RE: =OS= Oversoul Questions & Answers XII (Read the first post) (11/12/2013 20:18:23)

Adding 2 shields and 3 arcs on master wolf makes it pretty similar to reso in effect; you can try it now, actually.
Edit: Though, of course, you would most likely need the extra CC space with the actual reso.

Megadragonknight -> RE: =OS= Oversoul Questions & Answers XII (Read the first post) (11/12/2013 20:21:05)

This will go off-topic soon but i will state this that every single cards are useful in its own way or when the situation is in dire. Some combination like empower with even a pierce card is useful. Electric arc is also very useful because it will deal 200 damage in 6 turns. It look a longer time but it is still useful and have its strength. The strength is the lower cost, you can use up to even 5 electric arc which can deal a total of 6000 damage! It will cost the full energy but its worth it in long time

The Jop -> RE: =OS= Oversoul Questions & Answers XII (Read the first post) (11/12/2013 20:22:35)

@Kiazz
It kind of ruins charged though, since you need mostly attack cards to use that well. Plus it has a lot of other cards that get in the way of DoTs, like pierces, surge, and a 100 attack.

Kiazz -> RE: =OS= Oversoul Questions & Answers XII (Read the first post) (11/12/2013 20:28:30)

It has seven. Besides, you only need 2 now for a double efficiency, with the charge buff. Anyway, I'd only use it with three or more anyway.
Edit: Plus, it provides a pretty good contrast to the low DoT constantly going on.

The Jop -> RE: =OS= Oversoul Questions & Answers XII (Read the first post) (11/12/2013 20:29:22)

I don't think it really works the same because of how many cards it has dedicated to boosting its attack cards. It's not a dedicated DoT-er. Storm is just there to supplement the low energy and high damage from charged and surge for Lighting Wolf.

Kiazz -> RE: =OS= Oversoul Questions & Answers XII (Read the first post) (11/12/2013 20:34:39)

5 DoTs are enough to turn pretty much any character into a "dedicated" DoT-er with discards no matter the card count. (Of course, though, this only applies to chars with 15 or less originally.) There's a reason why "dedicated" DoT-ers like necrosis lose to full-on damage dealers most of the time. Also, why didn't you put any surges on reso? It's, like, one of the best boost cards. Wolf only has one surge anyway.
Edit: Doing this on a phone.

Yeah, the difference between a Master Wolf made to look like a CC-less Resonance and an actual Resonance with its own CC's on top of what it starts with is pretty significant.

Kiazz -> RE: =OS= Oversoul Questions & Answers XII (Read the first post) (11/12/2013 20:50:22)

It's special in it's own way; like mentioned, the 2 Charges, 1 Surge, and seven attack cards work toward finishing an opponent after all those DoTs while still being more efficient than plain attack cards

Megadragonknight -> RE: =OS= Oversoul Questions & Answers XII (Read the first post) (11/12/2013 21:32:14)

Most agreeable that supercharged, charged and surged can work together to boost just one attack card. 500 attack card + 500, 200 and 300=1500 damage. The max damage deal is supercharged+2 charged+1 surge+2 500 attack card= 500+400+300+500+500= 2200 damage. Actually i prefer to use supercharged+ 2 500 attack card and 2 300 attack card as it deal a total of 3400 damage. Work well when using lots of Electric Arc.
