As the subject states^.

Consider the DN's being broader, instilling projects to which give hype for the upcoming/forthcoming events. At the moment, the DN's provide a very direct 'day-before'/'hour-before notes and it feels rather lacking though a tad filling ( no offense meant ). The goal would be to provide players something to look-out for and not be provided with a rather abrupt fill or so.

The issue here is that we did used to provide much more frequent DN's and earlier DN's each week explaining what would be happening that week. This comes with a number of issues though. Each week the team of Developers come up with a plan of what needs to be done that week and what they want to be releasing that Friday (or which ever day the next update is due). Throughout the week numerous setbacks can occur and usually occur which means that one or two features originally hoped to be done by Friday sadly cannot be completed, not only this but sometimes it is discovered that due to the complexity of an idea, that certain feature will actually take numerous weeks of work for it to be completed. When this happened and the DN's had already explained the features/events etc. that were due in the upcoming update, players became angry and annoyed that all these features were being promised, yet were not being delivered. Of course there were understanding players who could see why the features had not made the cut for this release, but overall it caused a lot of negativity on the forums and towards the Developers all together.

As a result, the only way to combat this really is to simply not promise anything. Only tell people what is coming in a release when it is almost finished and it should certainly be ready in time. This results in more of an 'on the day' or 'day before' design note approach, but it ensures that players cannot be disappointed that something 'promised' has not quite made it. Of course there are still exceptions, but for the most part, this is why this approach has been taken. As stated, it used to be different, design notes usually came on a Tuesday or a Wednesday and then an update log would come just after the release... However due to the above reasons, this changed.

Ah, thank you for giving light to my thought(s). Seems I really missed a lot of stuff from the earlier stages of Epicduel.
