there are so many problems with balance the fact that there is a strongest class (tech mage) is dumb everything should be balanced and i have ideas how. well first off certain classes are weak to others like bounty is strong in tach merc. but two ideas i have are for cyber and merc the weakest classes they need better energy thats all it take to rebalance. make cybers get atleast 300 energy every time. for mercs it needs to go up a bit too maybe make the improvement stat. another thing WHY IS THIS GAME TURNING INTO A PAY TO WIN. dont make op gear and have it available to varium users only. the hazmat armor and the rest of the gear is op it helps balance other things like that azreals gun tho but everybody should be able to get it. like seriously 500 hp only for varium users. make cores for everyone not just varium users.

I agree with the cores and have made a post for it. Ofcourse they should in no way be easy to attain. Hence the lure of using varium. But they have to be accessible. I.E. A quest to access the shop and a high cost.

In another thread we were talking about lowering energy costs on a lot of Merc's skills to make it a bit more interesting and better since it never really has enough energy to do anything at one point.

From common opinion it seems like most people think Merc is weak because of really bad control of energy flow during a fight so I'll take note of this and try and bring it up when the devs get back to balance updates on ED.

tech mages - the strongest? i'm flattered and clueless.
cyber hunters can take a lot of energy at the cost of some of their energy, it would take some good skills/cores to recuperate from the energy exhaustion, but otherwise other classes can manage, so I don't see cyber hunters all that much, you could be right. as for mercs, yes it's a popular topic of people asking for better effective energy pools because people are constantly stealing energy that's hard to regain.

I'd argue that tech mages are second to bounty hunters based on the amount of variety available to the classes. Currently bh's are viable for just about any build (granted we're assuming the build uses strategy), Tech mages are great but if we were to compare each stat build support is a less viable build for mages (in my opinion). The problem for cyber hunters speaking from experience is that they have no real form of attack other than poison and stun, while yes, this is usable, it's not extremely reliable and while yes it's possible to take over 500mp in one hit that requires a lot of tech which doesn't affect any attacks other than a skill which requires more mp. Mercs have one good attack and then they're screwed (excluding a bot), and bm's aren't far behind, they MIGHT get to use cannon twice. Tact mercs have better mp control but they don't have as much variety: you're either a support poison, f5 poison + surg, or maybe a str poison type.

Mind you i'm basing strength of class specifically on the viability of variety.

This game was pay to win when it started if anything that has diminished tremendously, neither the hazmat nor azrael are op frankly they're just the only things available for variety and are still beatable without too much trouble. Frankly they make cores for everyone all the time and while i was against things like varium the creators have to get paid or at least the game has to be sustained somehow.
