Holyemperor -> RE: =DF= New Stat Changes (5/1/2018 19:37:47)

I do more damage and have more immobility resistance, from my short observations of the changes, I like.

BluuHorseOfficial -> RE: =DF= New Stat Changes (5/1/2018 22:04:07)

Yeah, STR is amazing how. I beleive everyone will either have to get multiple types weapons or scythes. I’m going to get myself the Staff of Destiny, too, so I can do whatever I want with my character’s stats. I bet the Gold Farming guide will come in very handy now.[:)]

Shadow X Ascendant -> RE: =DF= New Stat Changes (5/1/2018 22:14:56)

I Wish you Luck Trying to get Royal Vault Staff V from Are Rocks Evil? That quest has no skip cutscene button

BluuHorseOfficial -> RE: =DF= New Stat Changes (5/1/2018 22:30:24)

I got the sword AND dagger, so I may be able to do it, actually. :D

steambin96 -> RE: =DF= New Stat Changes (5/1/2018 23:06:37)

The dex DoT damage increase doesnt seem to work on weapons specials, is this intentional?

Shadow X Ascendant -> RE: =DF= New Stat Changes (5/1/2018 23:30:35)

Yes, it not increase on weapons Dots Because is a Dot From a Weapon, not From one of your skills

Draxare -> RE: =DF= New Stat Changes (5/1/2018 23:38:30)

well i also dont understand why crit damage was given to int like that makes no sense when compared to other games or even this one, dex should be the on to handle crit damage not int and imo the two are swapped. And im not saying all the changes were bad or unneeded im more of saying that luck is really compared to how it was and completely invalidating builds isnt fun. A better option would have been to drastically scale back LUK's scaling so instead of making every 10 luck increase crit damage make it every 20 then make dex boost it every 10 so now you have two sources of damage increasing the viability of everyone builds just my thought process. Psychology proves that nerfs are felt harder than buffs and I am certainly one of the ones feeling the nerf hardcore.

Greyor_42 -> RE: =DF= New Stat Changes (5/2/2018 0:49:00)

@Draxare

The fact that the nerf had to be implemented at all is the issue here, because LUK is a secondary stat, and as such, should always have been on par with CHA, not better than the primary stats. And your solution also has the issue of buffing DEX way too much in comparison to the other primary stats, and making it possible to exceed the original crit damage level without much problem. That's not good balancing. Remember, crit damage was nerfed for a reason.

That is some faulty psychology then. Buffs are noticed just as much as nerfs. Many times with people asking to take the buffs back with more nerfs.

Alm Nullamors -> RE: =DF= New Stat Changes (5/2/2018 16:03:31)

First the glancing blow reduction gets shifted to DEX, ruining my new build already, but now 250 DEX won't even negate them entirely? Ugh. [&:]

I'm really sorry, but even though the gold cost is much cheaper this week, I don't know if I could bear to rebuild and get toppled over again in a matter of days. It's just too demoralizing. Now I'm thinking I should just shovel my last 195 points into the more consistent WIS rather than anything which could be altered tomorrow... [:(]

Sakurai the Cursed -> RE: =DF= New Stat Changes (5/2/2018 20:38:50)

@LouisCyphere - The crit I used was my personal amount from using the previous best overall setup I could find which has close to the maximum crit you would reasonably want to get, for much more you'd have to sacrifice way too much in terms of damage and other stats. And that was before this change that drastically buffed main stats. Either way, you could use the same crit set with the other stat builds as well if it's better, so even at the cap of 100 crit from items it still wouldn't make Str + Int better overall.

Shadow X Ascendant -> RE: =DF= New Stat Changes (5/2/2018 20:45:40)

I found a Balanced Stats that every my classes can still shine with my Always Fixed Set ,
.
STR 85 (40 Immobility Resist)
INT 120 (Crit Damage is good for every class)
DEX 35 (DoT Class like DK, Ninja)
END 69 - WIS 76 (For 2500 HP/ 1250 MP)
LUK 35 (Crit Chance and Defense is always welcome for every class)
.
I end with Crit = 80, Bonus = 65

steambin96 -> RE: =DF= New Stat Changes (5/3/2018 10:34:48)

Is it just me or are those fixed damage type skills are more annoying now more than ever, i had a nasty reminder that cryptic's throw was fixed to pierce when i went full int.

miles83378 -> RE: =DF= New Stat Changes (5/3/2018 17:44:18)

Ok quick question anyone have any suggestions for a balanced stat build for a level 30 DeathKnight.

BluuHorseOfficial -> RE: =DF= New Stat Changes (5/3/2018 21:47:36)

@above, Here, it branches. If you choose to use the passive DoT effect, then you want to increase uour damage output from it, so DEX is the way to go (I may need correction on this here). However, for the passive HoT effect, WIS and END are totally the way to go because WIS increases Healing and END total health.

Greyor_42 -> RE: =DF= New Stat Changes (5/3/2018 22:05:05)

DEX actually doesn't effect the passive DoT for Necromancer or DK. In fact, the only DoT it affects for DK is the soul slash DoT(because the other DoT is based on DK's health only).

BluuHorseOfficial -> RE: =DF= New Stat Changes (5/4/2018 2:13:16)

In that case, strike off DEX, too. DeathKnight can be a very powerful armor, so, STR/INT/END can be good. I’d say 200 STR/150 INT/70 END, OR 200 END/150 STR/70 INT if you want to use Dark Rite as a mean of Damage Output, too. Also, there is another DoT which does damage scaling off the enemy’s stats, so basically, DEX is only useful for damage or glancing blow related stuff after using Soul Reap.

raylas -> RE: =DF= New Stat Changes (5/4/2018 3:08:19)

Okay.... I got rocked by this.

Seriously, the nerfbat beat me to a bloody pulp. Suffice to say, I'm not enjoying this change, in fact, I really kind of hate it, it basically nuked my damage as a DEX/Dagger based character and made me much weaker.

BUT, I have to live with it, because it won't be changed back, and unless it's changed in the future, we're stuck with it. That, and complaining will change nothing now.

So..... one of you smarter than me people tell me where I put stats to get the effects that I had in my previous build.

Stats were:

Dex: 165

Luk: 40

End: 105

Wis: 110.

If you can tell me how to replicate the performance I had with that, I would be very, very grateful for the help.

BluuHorseOfficial -> RE: =DF= New Stat Changes (5/4/2018 3:53:12)

@raylas, hmmm... so what class were you using? That way we can suggest something to you...

raylas -> RE: =DF= New Stat Changes (5/4/2018 4:01:45)

Mostly Necro Paragon, but I used a little bit of everything as the mood struck me.

BluuHorseOfficial -> RE: =DF= New Stat Changes (5/4/2018 6:19:13)

In the case of Necro Paragon, I’d say that you’re very lucky to be a Dagger user: go for 200 DEX here for more damage and stronger damage from Corruption, which is already a strong DoT. Fear Ward is a B/P/D shield, so you’ll be taking Glancing Blows far more often. Therefore, DEX is definitely the way to go here for you.

As I could make out from your post, you’re more of a hard hitter, so I’d recommend having 150 or more STR to boost your total damage. It is also great against Inn Bosses that stun you. And for your last stat, I’d say go for whatever you want. INT here is good for Critical Damage, LUK for multiple things and CHA for Guests or Pets if you like using those, and WIS for larger healing. Then again, END is great for increasing total HP, too. Hope this helps you!

godofthunder4 -> RE: =DF= New Stat Changes (5/4/2018 19:20:56)

Right now I’m a level 85 Warrior that frequently uses Doomknight, and I’m looking for overwhelming damage. What’s my best stat distribution for this?

Asphyria -> RE: =DF= New Stat Changes (5/4/2018 19:28:59)

I play as a rogue, currently level 25. My stats are DEX 69 WIS 30 END 10 LUK 5 CHA 5 is it too bad I didn't use any in INT and STR? lol
I always use daggers, and I don't plan to use other classes
This is my first time commenting [:)]

Rafiq von den Vielen -> RE: =DF= New Stat Changes (5/5/2018 1:45:00)

Curiosity... since this is my only character with a calendar class:

How do I best go for a SWoT stat spread? Well, SWoT or Rage DL Rogue who only uses daggers because of RP aspects, scythes aren't to the character's liking. [:D]

BluuHorseOfficial -> RE: =DF= New Stat Changes (5/5/2018 3:00:05)

@godofthunder4, Overwhelming damage, you say? I'll divide this into two for you:
If you prefer to do massive damage, most of the damage with Blood Rite: 200 STR (for raw damage output), 190 INT (Crit Damage from Blood Rite. 200 INT is fine if you use Scythes more than Swords/Maces/Axes. But DON'T use 199 INT, doesn't work.), and remaining in LUK or WIS or END.
If you prefer to do massive damage, most of the damage with Corruption and Lingering Doom: 200 STR (for raw damage output), 190 DEX (DoT from Corruption -> Lingering Doom. 200 DEX is fine if you use Scythes more than Swords/Maces/Axes. But DON'T use 199 DEX, doesn't work.), and remaining in LUK or WIS or END.
However, you could do DEX and INT tif you don't mind sacrificing damage from other skills, or getting scythes/daggers/staffs/wands.

@Asphyria, at your level, you don't need to worry too much. You can still enjoy the game and when you're ready to challenge yourself with harder fights, I guess this would help.

@Rafiq von den Vielen, you could follow the Blood Rite distribution I wrote for godofthunder4. Hope this helps!\

raylas -> RE: =DF= New Stat Changes (5/5/2018 3:50:02)

@BluuHorse

Turns out, the DoT damage thing isn't worth beans.

At 200 Dex, Corruption deals 67 damage per turn.

That said.... I found a way to make it all work.

Cost a lot of gold to tinker with it, but I THINK I got it!

Looks like this:

Int: 50.

Dex: 160

Wis: 100

End: 110

Plus the bonuses from items.

I don't hit quite as hard as I did.... but it's close, and I'm hitting hard enough.

EDIT: Aaaaaaand a bug just hit and reduced all my stats to zero. I don't think I have the gold to fix it, either.

Stick a fork in me, I give up.
