*You are standing at the edge of a cliff.*
<Character>: It's the perfect day for adventure. Great things are coming my way... I can just feel it!
*A dragon swoops past you from beyond, flying back around to land before the cliff's edge where you stand.*
<Character>: A Dragon?!
<Character> (thinking): I thought level <Level> characters were supposed to start off fighting rats or something easy!
*The dragon roars.*
<Character> (thinking): Here it comes... the Dragon is about to attack! Time to test my skills as a <Class>!
*The dragon instead lowers its head against the cliff's edge, allowing its passengers—a small red moglin and a lady with a curious black box—to join you on land.*
Twilly: Hiyas!
Twilly: The path is clear, Priestess!
*The Priestess approaches Twilly and yourself on land.*
Priestess: Please pardon us friend, we are just passing through.
*The Priestess and Twilly continue on their way, and the dragon raises its head again to stare at you.*
<Character> (thinking): ???
Dragon (thinking): I REALLY SHOULD JUST EAT THIS ADVENTURER NOW. IT WOULD SAVE ME A LOT OF TROUBLE IN 30 OR SO LEVELS.
Dragon (thinking): GRRRRR.... BUT SHE DID MAKE ME PROMISE.
*The dragon roars again with that last thought, and returns to the skies.*
Dragon (thinking): SEE YOU IN ABOUT 30 LEVELS... HA HA HA HA HA HA!
<Character>: What was all that about!? (And do I at least get experience points for sitting through this?)

Twilly: I will protect you Priestess!

*With a large POW!, Twilly is punted by the Gorillaphant, and lands just before you, stars spinning around his head.*

Priestess: *sigh* Twilly....
Priestess: Alas, we are out of time. Good <Class>. I must ask an important favor of thee.
Priestess: Would you please let Captain Rolith know that we're taking the shortcut? He's just ahead in Oaklore Keep.
Priestess: I am certain we will cross paths again.
Twilly: Especially since he/she is going to take that Black Dragon Box and...
Priestess: *sigh* Twilly....
<Character>: Well... I doubt my day can get any stranger than this. I should go to the Keep ahead and deliver the message to Rolith.
*You head upwards towards Oaklore Keep.*

Where could they have gone? I am 'stumped'. This quest was retouched on November 10th, 2019; bonus experience is no longer rewarded past Level 1, and an in-game typo was corrected.
Title screen previously said 'Prologue — A Hero Is Born Bored', but was changed on December 27th, 2019.
Forgotten Spear reward was added on June 23rd, 2021.
An additional pop-up was added to this quest to prevent players to restart the Twilly cutscene on March 18th, 2022.
'Punt it back...' option now stuns Gorillaphant on February 20th, 2023.
