Go from the 'Upgrades and Special Offers' link in the main town scene.
Then click the "Ballyhoo" button.

* The main current reward is gold and a sometimes randomly Z-Tokens. The gold reward is scaled to your character's level.

* The ballyhoo day counter resets at Midnight server time, just like the daily gold and XP caps reset at midnight.

* The gold you earn by watching ads does count as gold earned for the daily caps, just like gold rewards from monster battles.
However: if you have already reached your cap, you can still watch up to 3 ads, and go over your cap a little bit.

If it makes sense for a particular sponsor, we may add access to special shops, unique monsters, or even unique quests.
These would be things that somehow go along with a sponsor's advertisement AND make sense inside the game.

We promise not to go overboard and turn our games into anything like Neopets!

Ballyhoo Update:

- Movie theater curtain graphic 'borrowed' from MechQuest
- The bug where the 'get prize' button would show up too soon has probably been fixed
- Small chance added for getting 10 Z-Tokens for each ad view (along with the normal amount of gold)
- Gold gained for watching ads does not add to your daily gold amount for calculating the daily gold cap

A new set of ads is being run inside AQ Ballyhoo's zone.
They will run about every-other-time you open the chest.

They're for the same game ads that we often have on our home web pages.

If you see a game that looks interesting, feel free to sign-up at its web site.
Just remember to come back and play AQ too!

Update:

Changes to AQ Ballyhoo:
- The gold reward for visiting Ballyhoo has been reduced (33% less than before)
- The chance of getting Z-Tokens is slightly higher
- The amount of tokens you receive is higher
- Very small random chance of getting a huge amount of Z-Tokens

Why the Change?
The original gold reward amounts were intended to match doing a level-appropriate monster battle, with ads lasting up to a minute long.
Most of the recent ads have been only 30 seconds long, and Ballyhoo also did not originally give any Z-Tokens.
The change balances the rewards more fairly, and the system is still a good "gold farm" for those that are using it that way.

Recent other change to MechQuest Ballyhoo:
- Added Random chance of getting a few Nova Gems

DragonFable Ballyhoo also gives random DragonCoins.

Update:

- Ballyhoo will sometimes give XP instead of a gold reward. This only affects characters levels 10 through 100.
- The chance and amount of Z-Token rewards is increased during major advertising campaigns, such as the Legend of the Seeker ad campaign
