I remembered doing a critical hit of 20 and I was like "WOW".
Then I told my friend on MSN (who also played).
I also remember finding the strategy to beat BRR.
I nearly went insane farming for the DMR

i started 1-2 months before the shuttle and it was hard getting the salvaged pulse laser....only to sell it after one fight

i remeber working my butt of to get the deluxe mecharoni for 120k. when now you can get like a mecha twice as powerful same price lol. but ahh those were the good days b4 people started complaning that the game isnt fair to non-sc and what not lol

i remember using the 1st mech until lvl 8 or when the price lowered for mechs.

i also remembered hitting 1-2 and thinking wow that must be huge around here.

i also remember the first SS war man that was fun using the weak lvl 1 mech trying to at least get the katana mech and then the house mechs came and it took me 3 months ahhhh goooooood times

CSR - the best FA weapon at the time, fit it even on a Newbatron v1 and you'll have fun

BRR - the best farming overall before Kero, a 300cred kill

Kero - the best farming, esp for those with the werewolf mech giving a 500 cred reward

DMR - the longest uber mech, a 100k legacy to those who remember it's first appearance

Werewolf mech - the first "glass cannon", very low HP but dealing dmg enough to stop any mech in it's tracks at the time...

hm....

ah! the trial and error of finding the best equipment stratagies! in those days the meach was simply the base, and people had to think of the best weapon combos to defeat even the BRR in the fastest and simlpest way possible...

nowadays, buy the best mech, you have the best equipment... T__T

When DMR was uber....
When I almost numb my hand just to farm for DMR...
When no one could beat the spider...
When 5 damage is high, 10 is a blessing and 15 is a miracle...
When I couldn't defeat Cain Lupus...
When I thought Mamma Mia Mega Slicer is uber...
When I have to finish Energy blades using a machete/tanto...
Memories....

I remember farming like MAD on the shuttle before you could land it for the 1337 and thinking it was the best thing I could hope for,not long after,the shuttle landed,and I was amazed at how my 20K had gone to waste.


I also remember all the problems they ran into about 5 minutes before 12:00!

I also remember when the people that were new at the time were asking the best setup,and we were just telling htem to get the DMR with some weapons that all dealt about 8-10 damage!

It also came back to me now,when we were asking about the statue beside the museum,and about hte Cinemech!

I remember the time when anyone who had over 10 000 credits was considered a god. Heh, it was fun watching my brother's faces when I told them I got over 15 000. Now, it's easy to get 10 000 credits around level 3-5. Oh, how MQ has developed.

I remember how much time it took me to make money to buy the level 12 house mech,it was so hard back then.

I remember being level 13 before i could buy the lvl 12 house mech XD and i thought how easy it was for new players when i started a new char to see what the new prices were like. Being a newbie now isn't like when we were, lol

lol, i hit a 7 once and was amazed at it.

yeah, it was harder, but id much rather be a new player back then instead of now. lol, we couldn't leave the dropship and the ssb was near impossible.

i remember the Rifle Master at lvl 3

my first release ACTUALLY WAS the first release, the dropship. shadowsythe spider was considered impossible back then.

i remember all the sudden
the Helm Bug xD
everytime i went outside to get that temporary helm, the screen went black and i couldn't play xD
