Overview (ZZ1123)

Draining weapons are among the best in AQ, because they can give you a miracle comeback on a boss, a chance to PK on a monster, or maybe just a big hit. I assumed full stats (200 INT, DEX, LUK or 200 STR, DEX, LUK). For armors, I'm going to add figures for a fully trained Warrior and Mage. All assumptions are the ones used in EC. Also everything is calculated on 35 MOB defenses. Finally, I put the highest version of X weapon so HP heal per special/turn will vary for different Lvl versions!

Weapons
(ZZ1124)

-----------

Darkness

Big 100K
A superb weapon. This weapon has a 10% chance of hitting it's special, which is a 300/840/0 hit above Level 80, and a 200/560/0 hit below Level 80. Since the Big 100K costs 100K, it’s primarily bought by people over Level 80, so we’ll use the stats on it’s above Level 80 special. If it's not triggered it heals 50% of the damage done on special. Also it triggers on Undeads and then on it's special it heals 100% done on special but MP instead of HP.

Spider Leg
This weapon is a Mana drainer. It drains 10% of the monsters MP, and gives it to you. Assuming 1500 monster MP, that's 150 MP per special, and a 25% special rate gives an average of 37.5 MP per turn. Note that most monster don't have 1500 MP, I'm assuming a very high level monster that uses MP for its attacks, and hence has lots of MP. To find how much MP this weapon will drain per turn on average, take the max MP of the monster and divide it by 40.

Blackbones
A Brilhado Necromancer's weapon. You get healed 20% of all damage done. With the new 10% Base/Random/Stats damage to spells, this weapon is a must have for Mages (well, who want heal and boost over weapon damage). Plus, while tanking in Golden, the damage is unaffected because it’s a spell. Nice, eh? Average damage healed is 16.28 HP per turn. Unquestionably the most stable healing item, as it heals you every turn, but it does quite a bit less damage than some of the other weapons. However, it boosts Darkness spells by 10% Base/Random/Stats, a VERY useful feature, boosting it more than Lightning Rod's 5%.

Blood Blade
They have the same healing type as RUB, a % healing, but they only heal 5% of the monster's HP. Hence, on a monster with 1500 HP, you heal 75 HP. With a 12% rate, this makes 9 HP a turn for either Blade. Not bad, but still short of RUB. However, the level requirement is a lot lower, making this very useful for lower Levels.

Lumpy and non Lumpy Skull Clubs
This weapon actually heals more average per turn than RUB. While it does 5% damage to the monster, it has a 15% percent chance, 1% more than double RUB's. Using a monster with 1500 HP, you get healed 11.15 HP per turn. The downside to this is that it heals less than Blackbones, and does less damage than Big100K. Plus, Blackbones boosts spell damage and Big 100K can trigger and heal MP. I don't recommend the Lumpy Skull Club (IMO).

Headache Club series
These weapons are very good weapon but they are Rare and they were Z-Token weapons so not everyone could get it but it's very good until ShadowSpear (I'm talking now about highest one) but if you want to keep it for healing special you can keep it. It heals average 3 HP per turn which is OK and weapon's special is good too! Special heals average 30 HP if 1st hit connect so that 3 HP per turn is from 1st hit. It's still great weapon.

Ebil Scythe Series
These are very good Darkness weapons for Rangers or Warriors with high DEX. It's nice choice until ShadowSpear but if you have Headache Club don't buy it. It heals average 63.825 HP if all hits connect or 6.3825 HP per turn.

Vampiric Axe
Interesting. This weapon does 15 extra damage to the monster on every hit, and gives you the 15 HP. However, it’s special does an average of 200 damage to you and heals the monster by that amount. The healing average amount goes like this:
1 Hit Armor - -25 HP
2 Hit Armor - -10 HP
3 Hit Armor - 5 HP
4 Hit Armor - 20 HP
… and so on, with every hit adding an average of 15 more HP generated per turn.

Note: Clones work with this too, and they don't perform the specials, so that adds 15 HP more HP generated a turn.

-----

Light

Golden Axe (Of Legacy)
The BEST Melee weapon in the game. I'm jealous of the ones with the Legacy Axe. (Good graphic xD)
Moving on to draining! On a 35 modified MOB def, the special will hit 100% of the time. In full Golden, special will heal you by 50% of damage done. The average damage per special is 160, leading to 80 HP healed per special. The downside is that you must be in full Golden, which is generally very bad Armor for Warriors (only BMW can do real damage (from pets)). With a 15% special rate, we get an average of 12 HP healed per turn. Not to shabby.

Raynar’s Ultimate Blade series.
One of the best light weapons in the game. his weapon deals 10% of the monster’s current hp in a void attack and is unblockable. And it heals you with ALL of that damage. On a 1500 monster, this means 150 on each special, and with a 7% special rate, that’s a 10.5 HP healed per turn. More than twice Big 100K’s. Note that I used monster with 1500 HP, but a monster with more health will heal more and one with less health will heal less.

DuaLight Sword
This weapon's got 20% chance of taking out half of your opponent’s MP. Then 80% of that is healed to your HP and MP. Cool, eh? Assuming 1000 MP, you heal an average of 80 a turn. While this seems good, you can only use this twice a match, and not many monsters have 1000 MP.

Big 100K - Triggered. Same healing as Big100k untriggered, but healed to MP. In other words, 5.15 MP healed per turn, on average.

Zombie Bane Scepter (92)
This weapon heals 34.7 every special, on average, and an 8% special rate. Heals 2.776 a turn, on average. Rather low, but it has very nice damage, and is nearly on par with the uber magic weapons. If you have the money, I recommend this. This weapon heals mp as well. What a nice weapon. Anyways, it heals about 31.45 MP per special, on average, with an 8% rate of a special. Hence, a 2.516 MP heal on average per turn.

Beam Staff Series
These are brand new weapons from WarpForce crossover. These weapons are very strategic and beat ZBS (w/o Trigger) but looses to Triggered but they are also great stepping stones for ZBS (lower version) and even highest one (if you still haven't got ZBS). On special, they heal 133.38 MP, which gives about 17.34 MP (rounded up) per turn which is quite good. Also you may consider changing ZBS for that weapon if you want higher MP heal over Trigger (and not so great heal).

Mark of Hope weapons
These are very interesting weapons, especially for Adventurers to get rid off their horrible default weapon. While your Alignment is higer (+1, +2 etc.), the special starts to receive stats but not BtH. You have to have positive Alignment to get a heal and I calculated the heal at 6+ Alignment (that's minimum needed to get a heal)!! Melee version (Executioner of Despair) heals about 26.47 HP per special and about 3.97 HP per turn and Magic&Ranged heal about 25.147 HP per special so about 3.77 HP per turn.

- - - - - - - - - -

Ice and Water

Lycan Slasher Series
Basically, same as DuaLight Sword.

Poise
A super duper Uber Magic weapon. IMO, the first water uber you should get. Anyways, it’s special has the same rate and damage as RUB, but it heals to your MP. Also, the MP healing is 1.5x what RUB’s is. We get 15.5 MP healed per round, on average. This weapon is the best as regenerating MP.

-------

Earth

Awe Weapons - Mana Vampire
Heals 173.84625 MP per special, and with a special rate of 1%, this is about 1.73 MP per turn. Not as good as some other weapons, but the Awe weapons are very strong. However, most monsters will run out of mp very fast, and this is unreliable.

Awe Weapons - Health Vampire
Since any Elite Guardian will use an Awe weapon, let’s see just how useful Health/Mana Vampire really is. For level 100+ it heals about 120.4 damage per special, or 1.204 HP healed per round. This isn’t the best healing item, but the Awe weapons are VERY strong at high levels. Note that most people aren’t 100+, so the healing will be less.

------

Fire

Fangsword Series
It's a new weapon from NightReign and Gracefang War. It's good weapon with preety useful trigger on Vamps and Weres. On special it heals average 53.2 HP so about 7.45 HP per turn when not Triggered. On Trigger is the same. If I'm wrong please correct me.

FireBlood Blade
Same as Blood Blade.

------

Wind

Ragebreaker
This weapon is very interesting. It has great damage but its disadvantage is very low BtH (2). Special that damages enemy's MP, does 90 damage (average), so it's 45 HP per special (healed), and about 6.75 HP per turn. It's indeed, great weapon but its low BtH kills it >.>

Armors (ZZ1125)

Vamp - This is the Vampire Race Armor. I assume Level 10 Vampire, so there is about a 22.5 chance of doing an attack that heals ? of the damage done. Assuming a 7-27 weapon with 5 BtH (the assumption in equipment comparision), we do ___ damage a turn, healing ____ a turn on average. The pedia mentions no caps for healing on this, but the Lycan Armor has a cap of 20 HP per turn.

Lich - You regain 10% of your max HP using the drain attack for cost of 8% of your max MP. Fairly useful for lower levels, and useful for high-end characters (especially Warriors (it'd take very low mana rather than 150-200 MP (Mage))) !!

Lycan - Same healing as Vampire. Only it caps at 20 HP per turn.

Vampire Slayer (Vamp Blood)

quote:

10. Vampire's Blood - Cost: 100 MP
One can only fight Vampires for so long before the secrets of their life stealing powers are revealed. Works on non-undead only:

Hits: 1
Damage: 100% Base and Random damage.
B2H: 0%
If not used against a Vampire or Undead, you gain 50% HP of the damage inflicted on the enemy.

~From Pedia

This costs 100 MP, and isn't usable against vampires or undead. IMO, that’s kind of stupid considering the class name, but whatever. Anyways, again assuming the assumptions used in equipment comparison, we get ____ DPT, so half of that is ______ damage healed per turn.

Trans' opinions (Trans1127)

To me, the best weapon (in terms of healing) for:
Consistency: Blackbones
Most useful ability: Raynar’s Ultimate Blade and Brilliant Beam Staff

Best weapon for:

HP: Blackbones and RUB.
MP: Lycan Series and Poise but it depends on monster MP and HP though.

To me, the best Armor in terms of healing for:
Consistency: Werepyre.
Most useful ability: Vamp Slayer
Best armor: Werepyre, followed by Vamp Slayer

Notes (nts711)

Vampire Slayer, a class, is likely to be remodeled in the sweep, so Vampire’s Blood might get a buff (hope so!).
This is my first time writing a guide, so please feel free to give suggestions.
I’m not very good with weapon damage, so if somebody could clarify that, I'd be happy.
The KoO have stated that % based damage is going to stop (except MAYBE for Poise), so Poise might get affected and RUB will get affected.
If there's anything missing, PM me with that info or post in the thread. Thank you

Conclusion (fnsh1128)
Vampiric and draining items are very useful, and they all have situations where they are going to be the best. The one exception is Vampiric Blade which can drain your live and giving it to monster.

Also if I missed something you can write PM me or post it in the guide.

^The Fangsword series don't drain a specific amount, but they do heal, so I guess that's a Vampric Item.
quote:

SPECIAL
Hits: 1
Type: Magic
Element: Fire
Damage: 380% Base and Random
BTH: +51
Stats: No
Effect: Heals you four times. Each time, you heal HP equal to 1/4 of the damage dealt (rounded up).
Rate: 14%

That was for the Chomping FangSword. See? The special is 380% of 1 hit of the weapon. Sorry if this is getting confusing; I'm not the smartest person with these kinda stuff, either. =P

According to the encyclopedia: Werepyre Form
quote:

NORMAL ATTACK
You perform the Attack #1 if you are a Werepyre. Otherwise, you perform the Attack #2.

ATTACK 1
Hits: 2
Type: «As Weapon»
Element: «As Weapon»
Damage: 75% Base, 75% Random, and 100% Stats; 100% Base, Random, and Stats
BTH: +30 plus Stats; +0 plus Stats
Effect: You heal 5 HP

ATTACK 2
Hits: 1
Type: «As Weapon»
Element: «As Weapon»
Damage: 100% Base, Random, and Stats each
BTH: +0 plus Stats each

and
NightBane's Form:
quote:

ATTACK 2
Hits: 1
Damage: 50% Base and Random
BTH: +500
Effect:
**Level 5-44: You heal 15 HP
**Level 45-59: You heal 25 HP
**Level 60-74: You heal 30 HP
**Level 75-89: You heal 35 HP
**Level 90+: You heal 40 HP

Rate: 25%
Note: This is only availible if you are playing on a Guardian account. Now it's for everyone

Please read bolded text.
As you can see they Heal not drain, just heal/regenerate. Also NightBane's Form has 25% chance to do that attack and heal you by ___.

Big 100k - Triggered. Same healing as Big100k untriggered, but healed to MP. In other words, 5,15 MP healed per turn, on average.

I even used this Three times on Reverend Wyrm

Bright Beam Staff Z, Beam Staff, Guardian Bright Beam Staff, Bright Beam Staff, Gleaming Beam Staff Z, Gleaming Beam Staff , Guardian Radiant Beam Staff and Brilliant Beam Staff should be added here because

EFFECT
After each hit of the Special, you heal MP equal to 150% of the damage dealt by that hit.

Beam Staff (highest one used to compare) will be added as soon as I'll finish comparison.

@Draco 359
Yeah, they do! I'll add them ASAP ;)

@Mortus Est
It might be hard to calculate how much they heal on special (and per turn) but I'll try.

@Epsilon2012
They don't drain as you have to give some of your MP so I'm not adding it.

Edit: Would someone do the calculations for me (for highest Mark of Hope weapons) as I'd make my work easier but I'll do them myslef tomorrow (I have to go sleep now so that's why I'm asking). Also does anyone have idea how to make guide more colorful or less dull? PM me with suggestions ;)
