Hmm I like the way you incorporated two shapes. It's a Good Concept, but instead of using black for the hair you could use a darker color brown than a black.

He would look a lot better if you went back and did the highlights.
I'm going to do another tutorial soon, on Technical Aspects of Pixel Art.

Hey Im new to using MS paint(or any Photoshop programat all) and I have the Windows XP version. And I have some questions.
1.When I hit Ctrl-/+ the paitbrush size does not change...any idea why?
2.How do I cut away the backround behind the picture I want if I take a screenshot?

Thanks in advanced!

Okay, Good Questions...

The First one is, you hold and CTRL and + when your paintbrush or line tool or whatever(besides the Pen and Selection Tools) are selected. its not ctrl then +.
Next, That is Called Rendering, taking the Background off of a picture. And Paint really cant handle that much, itll take you a while to do also.
I suggest using the GIMP, because its made for transparencies and such...

Maybe do some tuts on adding details to shapes?
Like adding the details to squares and triangles to make them into people.
