So, there's a new game coming. Which means we have another game to shoehorn into the sequence.

Use this topic to speculate on the nature of the game, where it might fall, if it'll need another cataclysm-event (Reset, Merge) to be added, or anything else.

Kinda not surprised they got a new something in the works... While they're already overloaded with producing the games they have (As much as they try to make it seem otherwise), they've put on a few extra people, and Warlic is/has taking/taken leave of MechQuest, at least in as large of a role. And considering their pattern of re-using engines, another MMO would be likely, or at least something built off the AQW engine. MQ was built off DF, WF was (Eventually) built off AQ. It would make sense.

... Honestly, I'm most concerned about having to shoehorn another game into the story progression. It's only held together with duck tape and prayer as it is! Add something else crazy and goodness knows we may have to resort to using pure force of will to keep it cohesive.

Yep, another game which means the end of the world. But because its held together with Duck tape, it will succeed.

Duck Tape ALWAYS works.

AE has been oddly expansive as of late. Wonder what this new one will be. JNQG: Japanese Network Quintessential Game?

Who knows, maybe it's a game revolving around plushies and their secret interferences in the games.

kors - Warpforce isn't much of a big deal considering its only updated once a month. Furthermore, its just an expansion of AQ.

why would we need to be a Star Captain or Dragonlords....
On AQW all 3 could test it.....
So this could mean....
DF,MQ could be getting a exspansion...

A DF expansion would be sweet that happens during AQ but it's different because of the time split

Great... they had to introduce another reality (possibly) just when I had finally figured out how each of the games relate to one another (maybe). *notices the duct tape slowly peeling away* and THAT'S why you should never mess with phase space (I need Silly Putty, some form of caffine based beverage, some assorted paperclips and half a kilo of bacon STAT... and get MacGyver on the line and tell him it's 'Code Badger')

Shmeh. The way I see it, the newer AE games are, the worse they are. This does not include WarpForce because it is based entirely on AQ, uses the same engine, roughly the same graphics, et cetera. If it's an MMO, I'll probably play it for a few days and then get just as disgusted as I became with AQW. If it's a DF-based thing... eh, who knows. I hope that Geno is right and it's a secret project for an already-existing game, because honestly I don't want to see the staff suffer any more than they already are, what with working on however many games each one individually works on, getting yelled at by forumites, and getting yelled at by forumites. Unless they hire a whole flock of new staff members I don't really see how an entirely new game is viable.

I would Love a MQW. I hope that members on AQW will get to beta test! Oh well, since it's AE, it's probably going to be... interesting...

The wording to me is kind of odd for an in-game project... I would allow the possibility of a mini-game, but I can't bring myself to say there isn't reason to suspect a whole new game.

And expansion to DF is unlikely, I think... Considering its proximity to AQ. Possibly a split timeline argument, but...

The only thing about a MQW that would concern me is how they would differentiate between players running around in social areas, and battle, which would obviously be in mechs. I think there would be ways for it to work... But they'd have to really work at it. That's why I suggested something more like a WFW; that would lend itself much more to the AQW style of gameplay.

There's some speculation going on in the original topic about StickQuest, which apparently has at least a web page up... But I'm skeptical of this.

Is it possible it could be something completely new? (And if so, what? I mean, they have sci-fi and fantasy already...)

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO just when i finally go my schedule for each game right and i MAYBE finally figured out the time difference and all that and all the characters. Keep you fingers cross and hope they wont make a new game I mean release for each game now is so so so sad

It'll be horror or Western RPG genre probably... OR STEAMPUNK! *guitar string* I guess that maybe the new setting'll be on Earth/Terra, ever consider that? Maybe as a Lore person outposted on Earth to guard Earth against the other threats? We haven't heard much about Earth... If not, I dunno

If they release a new game and I like it...I'm gonna stop playing Adventure Quest 'cept for release days...I barely play DF and MQ either anymore...it's sad...AQW eats too much of my time, no new MMO!

Well actually to me that wording suggests to me probably just another release for AQW, not so much as an actual new game. Then again, I think that AE has some policy to release a new game every year (DF was in 2006, MQ in 2007, AQW in [late] 2008, Warpforce this year etc.)
If it is a new game, I hope it's DFW or MQW. Gigantic MMO featuring mech battles would be cool or MMO featuring Dragon vs. Tita fights.

I'm fairly sure AQW was released in June of 2008, but don't hold me to that.

Meh. A master account would be nice, I suppose. As long as it's not a new game I'm fine.

I don't have the actual quote from when he said it. but A while ago when I was in b1, artix came and was talking about the Master account :D, lol. But yah after that he said they were 3 GAMES! games they were going to make The first one was Stickquest The next two he didn't give the names, but the acrynoms: EDK,and AQK. now, this will be good speculation :D.

Also, I again put down a DFW. It would be very hard to make, as it'd be too similar to AQW.
