The Original Hexes:
I am in the process of creating a book featuring the little creatures called Hexes. The following is an excerpt from the memoirs of Professor J.C. Abernathy Esquire, noted paranormal investigator and Hex enthusiast:
"Hexes are the physical manifestation of powerful emotions. They are created when strong emotions, mostly negative and gloomy, amass in certain places. Graveyards, murder scenes, and Dentist offices are almost always hot spots for Hexes! Once created however they are not bound to any location and tend to wander for a time before settling in abandoned warehouses and the like... Hexes do not have mouths and do not eat. They feed off of human emotions... They are shy creatures that prefer not to be seen but wil act with hostily with a mischeivious glee when threatened... They are most often tiny, sometimes confused with faeries or gnomes, but they can come in all sizes.":

pinched ceramics w/ polished stones? I like it. but yeah im not about to clickon all those links .-.

the lizard looks very conceptualized was this purposeful, or was this an attempt to create a life-rendering without actually looking at life? (which is a big no no lol) I like the concept. Not sure of the execution though. It comes across as a childs toy almost, and you never want your audience to question that kinda of thing, if they do it is fult of the artist not the viewer.

but personal opinion is I love it it'd make a great toy for little kids. Keep up the great work

 Flamehead 12Haha I totally understand about the links. Actually it's polymer clay with some seed beads and various embellishments measuring nearly 3 inches from end to end. I was going for a more stylized/cartoon/toy look for the lizard rather than strict realism. I didn't use any reference and I had no specific type of lizard in mind when I sculpted that little guy. I settled on calling it a gecko primarily because of his big clunky feet and the magnet under his belly used to affix him to my waistcoat/clothing. Many thanks for the comment it's much appreciated.

Here's another new piece I think the loverly folks in this corner of the world would enjoy:

Rather one was a creature near the size of an adult coney which scurried about on small, chitinous legs making no noise beyond an abhorrent tap-tap tapping. The creature was almost wholly mouth and quite capable of devouring prey double or even triple it's body size!
