Wyrmy lives! Good to see some familiar faces 'round here.

Digging Jophiel's noggin. The tentacular bits in that piece are awesome too.

The Star Wars piece is adorable. Reminds a bit of your Yo Gabba Gabba drawing from way back when.

Thank you so much Starflare. I always appreciate any comments about my art. It does seem like I've been around for a looooooong time. I still enjoy AQ and most of the other AE games. I'm a little sad to see the art community so barren as of late but that's the way things go sometimes.

I live indeed SB. I just come and go in bursts which is one of the reasons I stepped down from being an AK. Thanks I really like the way his head turned out. So much so that I'm working on a series of angels with similar features.

But now for something completely different: HAWLUCHA!

Reminds me of your hexes from way back when. Just that really heavy, stylized shading style that I love.

I really like the energy in the Hawlucha thing. Just feels really alive, which is pretty fitting for a luchador bird.

Thanks Mordred. I always enjoy drawing stylized or fantastic subjects and I try to adjust my shading technique to match. Thanks I had fun making Hawlucha. He's made out of cut, coloured paper and he's one of my favourite of the new generation of pokemon.

Here's my entry for the Here's How We Roll Contest which I encourage everyone to attempt. C'mon folks there's a whole month to work on entries!

I really enjoy seeing the surrealist pieces from you. it would be very pleasing if there were less fanart and more originals. Keep it up

Thank you Flamehead 12. To be honest I prefer to draw my own subjects but the fan art gets the views and comments since it the subject has a built in fan base.

The sketch for today is just a doodle playing with some grey markers:

Today's drawing is a quick digital piece I did back in November I think.

Wow, I remember you posting your flash pieces back in 2006. Nostalgia overload.

Haha [AD] yeah the good old days. I have a TON of flash stuff now which is literally 100% better than those first attempts with the clunky program. Unfortunately(?) it all goes into AQ which is awesome (though it means less for my personal gallery).

Here's another piece from the 9 piece compilation; Eyes:

As a special treat here's a second Friday sketch that has never before been published to the web! This is straight out of my latest sketch book: Traveling Apothecary

The compilation pieces are killer. They're like, the epitome of your older macabre/whatever style. They feel sort of nostalgic, though I've not seen them before. Also, the metallic bits look awesome.

The traveling apothecary is very cool as well. Digging all the different elements going on. Awesome stuff.

Thank you very much SB as always! The compilation pieces are all fairly recent. I found a bunch of scrap cards and decided I wanted to do something with them and those were the result.

For this week's sketch another piece of the compilation: Genesis

This week's sketch is a departure from my 9 piece compilation piece. This is a sketch of a Putti also known as a cherub:

"The lowest order of angels, hardly more than spirits of the air, are the Putti. Ubiquitous baby-faced cherubs that spend their days cooing to babies, dappling leaves with sunlight, and comforting wasted humanity with memories of long lost and better days."

Lovely tubes n' cables in the compilation pieces. I love the composition of the legs one.

Thanks Solar Boy! I had to watch it a bit on the legs so I could actually post it here. I probably would have gone a bit more graphic otherwise.

Up next has absolutely nothing to do with my compilation piece and was just an exercise in fun ink drawing: Serpentor

Thank you very much bruextian! I'm glad it shows. I love all the little details and tiny lines so I try to squeeze as much in as I can get away with lol.
