Oh, wasn't sure what the plan was. Thought you weren't sure from this: "Well one of the ideas is to get people to try and land as soon as possible, but maybe losing 8% normally is too powerful. However, in-between 5% and 8% doesn't leave that much room for a new number..."

Well, anyways, there's still that bit of a rant regarding Supes powers and what I pointed out regarding Kose's healing power. Also, how would a healing power affect supers' Stability?

Well, I don't consider flying passive. Things like super-strength, for example, are included in the constant -5%. Not sure about what you're asking with the healing effecting super's stability...

As for the healing on himself, I believe that it'd count as healing someone that he is touching.

Yes, but it works quicker depending on proximity. Since its himself, and one can't get closer than one's self he would be able to heal himself some degree faster than someone else. Granted it probably wouldn't be too much quicker, but he can heal himself at will. What am I trying to say here? Oh, wait, think I just meant to point this out.

Well, the lower a super's Stability gets the more powerful and likely to explode they become. So, would that count as a form of bodily damage and would a healer be able to raise Stability? Because if so that makes anyone with self-healing powers/advanced healing factor a game breaker.

You should probably have Supes speed nerfed so he doesn't just run at everything at one-thousand miles per second. Many people will die, and climaxes will become anticlimactic.

For Superemo, it says Increased Speed, not Super Speed. However, this doesn't specify how increased it is, so this could be a clever way to bypass balancing (Not meaning to offend Superemo, just pointing this out). Along with increased reflexes, I think that Superemo will simply be laughing at anyone with a gun.

I'll go ahead and ask about the whole self-healing issue, just to be safe.

Well double strength is too much like an ordinary through (If someone is close, they'd die from a flying car (Or something of the sort)). I would either remove that ability, but make your telekinesis just a little stronger than your average strength, by having a permanent +1 SL when using objects with your telekinesis, and +2 when you're under 40% stability (Remember, you'll still get the +1 SL for every 25% you are away from 100% in addition to this (If you do choose this, please post this in parenthesis after your telekinesis power to remind me)). This power will not effect your normal strength, however, so you'll need to use up some stability if you want a little more power.

Alternatively, the option for limiting mind trick is still available.

For balancing reasons, stability has no effect on healing speed or potency, whether physical or emotional. Satoshi can heal himself at optimum speed, but even then it takes some time. Also, Satoshi cannot actively recover stability.

@Kosefira:
Okay, Satoshi seems to be balanced enough to be accepted, unless anyone else objects. I'll add him in.

We are kind of low on villains. Unless more villains come in, Shadow, the only current villain will be buffed somewhat to give his side a fair chance. I am also less likely to accept heroes and neutrals now, since it'd be best to have equal sides.

@Superemo:
Are you sure that you'd like us to decide exactly how strong your abilities are? I like to give the player a fair amount of say, since it'd be boring to play as someone that you didn't choose. And as an added problem, those abilities aren't that unique unless they're powerful, so you'd basically be a nerfed Captain America without the shield. If you'd like to select something new, please let me know. Otherwise, we'll decide on how powerful your abilities are.

kkut, you're vastly exaggerating the top movement speed, as well as miscalculating the value of 1 millisecond. Average human is a 12-15 mph running speed. Average human reaction time is 215 milliseconds, equaling .215 seconds, as 1 millisecond is equal to .001 second. The only thing you calculated correctly is the vision test.

So, running speed is 36-45 mph (for sustained runs).
Reaction time is 71.6 milliseconds.
Vision is 60/20.

My application...

Name: Thanatos
Allegiance: Villian
Inventory: Empty
Crystal: A black Orb shaped ruby that is about five times the size of a human fist.
Power:
1) Able to attract swords, daggers, knives or scythes that are within a 50m radius away from him.
2) Weapon Manipulation - Only with swords, daggers or scythes
3) Weapon Manifestation - Able to transform his right hand into a 8-inch long knife
Strength Level:
Stability: 100%
Appearance: A black haired young teenager that's about 6'1 in height. Relatively thin.
History: Thanatos was just an average delinquent that always got into fights. With his father being a specialist in Karate and Kendou, he has studied those 2 types of martial arts for quite a while. At the age of 8, he began to be fascinated by other weapons such as scythes, which is why his father bought him one after getting 100% in his maths, English, Chinese and Japanese exam. However after the death of his father and the marriage of his mother to his English teacher at the age of 13, he began to hate the world and ran away from home with nothing but his scythe and his father's sword, thus beginning his life on the streets. He found his crystal when he accidentally tripped in a dark alleyway being chased by the police for killing another person in a street fight.

Well Astro, a good limitation/weakness for enhanced speed would also be enhanced blood loss speed. Though apparently average human speed is 8 (The internet is unreliable), so he would be 24 MPH fast. Millisecond is a thousandth of a second, so 71.125 milliseconds equal something like... 0.071 seconds. I'm not good at math, but anyway you slice Supes' build he has quite an advantage.

EDIT: To explain why he would have quite an advantage. The first, he can see, move, and react three times better than any normal human. The Strength Level system says if we're sub-human, human, or superhuman in physical abilities. Most of us are Neutral/Good/Borderline. 3 is average human strength. The only guy who so far has anything past 4 is another villain (6). Speed equals force, so he can hit three times harder than a normal human. He would also, by extension of super speed, have the following: Friction Immunity, Material Invulnerability (Extend invulnerability to materials so they don't get damaged/incinerated by the speed), a double-edged jump trick... Actually this would be a lot simpler.

quote:

Super Speed - These characters are somehow immune to the effects of friction - specifically, the chafing that would naturally occur from using extremely rapid speed for extended periods of time, especially while wearing spandex. Again, this is only for characters that aren't explicitly described as Nigh Invulnerable; presumably, that would also cover friction damage. The same applies to the materials in contact with speedster, especially clothes (that should be bent to move): either invulnerability is extended to them or they are going to be damaged and possibly disintegrated/incinerated* that probably explains why Sonic the Hedgehog is a Half-Dressed Cartoon Animal. For instance, the various speedsters of the The DCU related to The Flash each have a thin invisible aura that protects their bodies from air friction (and, presumably, the impact of their feet hitting the ground at several hundred miles per hour several hundred times per second). This aura also allows them to survive the rigors of outer space.
And they face a problem the other direction, of having too little friction. Feet coming down at superspeed would presumably have super impact, and push them off the ground and at least a few feet in the air. Even once that's explained, someone going at superspeed over the slightest hill, or up stairs, or just random dips in the ground, would lose contact with the ground, they would keep going in the 'same direction' as before, into the air. * Some Super Speedsters, like Sonic the Hedgehog, like taking advantage of this trick to reach places they wouldn't be able to get to otherwise. The faster ones would be launched into orbit, especially while doing the 'run around the world' trick. They have to have something that holds them in contact with the ground better than gravity if they don't want to end up hurtling comically though the air every other step like a Wuxia character.
Speedsters also must possess a very powerful and efficient metabolism, which keeps them from needing to drink several times their weight in pure nectar every day (In recent years, this element has been often used to justify faster healing). Sometimes, this is partly averted - more than one character like this has been shown to be a Big Eater to power their abilities - though not even spending 24/7 in front of an all-you-can-eat ice cream and candy buffet could provide enough calories to power more than a second or two of supersonic running speeds. Which means that every Speedster really is a PerpetuumMobile. Also, they have to have a very high stamina, as running from New York to Los Angeles all at once should be impossible no matter how fast they do it. They also have to have super friction powers (again with the friction), so that they can actually keep their footing when turning on surfaces that aren't specially constructed for high-speed travel. Cars turn easily at sixty miles per hour on (properly angled) asphalt, but they'd have a much harder time on tile.
And if their speed is too high for a given viscosity, there's no time for collisions to be resolved quietly, so normally soft substances (like water or plastics) are going to behave like hard ones: literal blades of grass, glass puddles, buckshot raindrops, shrapnel snow, fragile clothes, that sort of thing. Speedsters who pick up or put down anything while speeding also have to have some power that cushions the impact. Otherwise, attempting to grab a person when you're running at a hundred miles an hour wouldn't pick them up, it would snap them in half.
If these characters approach the speed of light, they would experience time dilation. Furthermore, speedsters never get specks of dust caught in their eyes...
They would also need some type of super-concentration. Given that they must have some form of Super Reflexes so they can react normally to things at super-speed, they should perceive normal speed to be horrifyingly slow. Imagine trying to hold a conversation with people who take several hours to speak a single word. Similarly, if a speedster does something like typing millions of password combinations into a computer, he must somehow avoid getting bored after the first few hundred. Or they may have nervous systems that can multitask at different speeds, allowing them to perform (for example) simple manual tasks at superspeed while only being consciously aware of a few seconds passing.
Characters with super speed must also be able to withstand massive g-forces caused by rapid acceleration/deceleration, since most of them are shown to be able to start/stop instantly (rarely applies to those who lack this talent, but they may end up going Too Fast to Stop as a result and find that Inertia Is a Harsh Mistress). This must make the character somehow able to anchor to the ground while stopping too, since friction with the ground can only go so far - but often they just instantly stop. More than likely this uses some form of Inertial Dampening rather than actual friction, as it normally fails to tear up the roadway or set it on fire.
Normal humans moving at very high speeds without a protective barrier would forcibly ram-scoop air into their lungs. It'd be like driving without a windshield... on a supersonic jet. So their "aura" must either slow the air, or redirect it safely around them (while still allowing in enough to breathe). There was a real life incident where the navigator in a US Navy KA-6 Tanker ended up hanging out the cockpit of the aircraft. His seat had become detached from the floor due to metal fatigue and ended up pretty much floating on the ejection guide rails. His helmet and oxygen mask were taken off by the wind. Through his apparently being one of the luckiest guys in the world, he survived, and later compared trying to breathe during the ordeal to trying to drink from a firehose. This on a subsonic aircraft with the pilot deliberately flying as slowly as he could (unlike most vehicles, aircraft stall when they fly below a certain speed due to the lack of lift).
Also traveling at very high speed would generate shock waves that even if they won't affect the speedster would affect everyone around.
And in the cases of extremely high speed, there is also the risk of the radiation (principally Gamma Rays) produced by the Doppler Effect of traveling a such high speeds.

You could probably take a reality-based view regarding his super-vision though.
quote:

The ability to selectively screen your input is an absolute necessity unless you want your hero to be called "Captain Migraine", "The Squinter" or "Curled-Up-In-The-Fetal-Position-On-The-Floor-Man

Heroes with this power also seem to automatically gain the skills needed to properly interpret the new sensory input. In reality people tend to struggle when they suddenly gain a new sense, and it can take years to adjust to it.
No, exact words don't apply here Liam/Supes. So, let me actually explain the implications of his combo.

He moves and reacts at three times human speed, with three times greater sight. The faster something moves, the more force involved when it crashes. Being a practical person, Supes would know simply dodging bullets would be smarter than trying to grab one. Since he can see further than any normal human, he would be able to make out details better. So, coupled with his reflexes/speed and sight he can quite effectively dodge any human-scale/lesser-scaled enemy. Plus, give him a knife and he's quite good at killing people. Since the main enemies are human S.W.A.T, he shouldn't have much difficultly in avoiding/killing them. Though, any weaknesses to all this would just sort of horribly end badly for him if something went wrong.

Notice: The game will open as soon as we get enough players. Sorry for the extended wait.

@Selutu:
Thanatos is somewhat overpowered with his ability to practically suck up all the weapons in NY and manipulate them to his advantage. I would suggest simply enhanced natural abilities with weapons (You could choose several), increased strength, and being able to start off with the father's scythe and sword.

@kkutwar:
This is exactly what I was fearing. There's nothing stopping Supes from running out, grabbing all the Dull-Water, and hiding for the rest of the game while everyone is consumed from their power, or something else as equally OP.

Ooh... For someone named after a God of Death... Here.

Power:
Magnetic Touch (Small metal objects, assuming they are not bolted down or too far, can be called to your hands at will)
Weapon Supercharging (Enhance the normal power of a weapon [Say... a Knife that slices through only butter gets upgraded to slicing wood as well])
Enhanced Range (Range-weapons are given a boost in their normal range [ten feet translates into twelve feet])
Instant Expert (Any weapon you are unfamiliar with, being touched for the first time automatically explains how it all works)
Aero Slash (Implying enough force to a swing of a close-range weapon lets loose a burst of sharp air)

Just a suggestion is all, but would be pretty neat for a weapon-based character. Admittedly, this way, you can keep the magnetism and telekinesis while getting support powers to make your sword arm that much more deadly. Oh yeah, a war scythe would be useful as both offense and defense. The scythe was originally made as an agricultural hand tool for mowing grass, but I can see the Death God reference you're trying to make. If you want to complete it a bit more, may I suggest some sort of life-absorption power?

Let's see how broken kkut's power choices for Thanatos are...
Magnetic Touch: Blood contains metal. He would just rip the blood from his enemies, resulting in instant death.
Weapon Supercharging: It takes an immense amount of force to slice wood. Upgrades of that level would result in instant death to everyone if he ever got his hands on a gun.
Enhanced Range: Not too broken by itself. In combination with the other weapon-related powers, though, it is ridiculous.
Instant Expert: ... No. Just no. Everything can be thought of as a weapon. Supercharging it would result in him being able to kill everyone with a park bench.
Aero Slash: ... That would require an insane amount of force in the swing. Would result in any attacks that hit dealing instant death to anyone unfortunate enough to be in its path, and the burst of air itself would likely cause massive collateral damage.

Compared to your analysis of my character, the powers on this one are insanely broken.

Also, super-speed implies super-strength, but it isn't super-strength. And super-strong characters are the only ones with the endurance to withstand launching a super-strength punch without every bone in their arm breaking into thousands of pieces on impact with their target.
Super-speed =/= superhuman endurance. Super-speed = superhuman stamina. The difference is that a super-strength character can take a bullet, while a super-speed character can't. A super-speed character can run for far longer than a super-strength character can, but when the super-strength character catches him, he's dead.

Limits, of course. It shouldn't be able to draw out micro-pieces of metal nor anything within flesh. My calculations are quite horrid, and Supercharging was meant as a somewhat minor booster. Besides, they're just suggestions anyways Supes. Selutu can pick and choose what he wants, with Astro having anything too far toned down. Supercharging and that wind slash are limited to only melee weapons while enhanced range is for ranged weapons only. Expert only works on things properly considered and called weapons, so he would know how to work a sniper rifle but not how to weaponize a lamp. Besides, whoever said the air slash is instant-death? Mythical crystals, and quite a few of the powers here are already reality-warping. I think it would be perfectly acceptable if it only dealt minor damage... Like pretty much just a long-range sword strike.

Power:
1) Able to attract swords, daggers, knives or scythes that are within a 5m radius away from him (they must be 1kg or lower and not bolted down) and can only fly to his hands and cannot control them so that they levitate and attack the enemy etc.
2) Weapon Manipulation - Only with swords, daggers or scythes
3) Starting off with father's scythe and sword
4) Decreased Ranged accuracy
Strength Level:
Stability: 100%
Appearance: A black haired young teenager that's about 6'1 in height. Relatively thin.
History: Thanatos was just an average delinquent that always got into fights. With his father being a specialist in Karate and Kendou, he has studied those 2 types of martial arts for quite a while. @kkutwar
For Thanatos I'm trying to keep him as more of a close-combat-styled person. I like your life absorption idea though, although I'm not quite sure how to limit it so it is not over-powered. But thanks for your suggestions.

@Astroking112
Not sure about were to put the starting off with father's scythe and sword so I placed it in the Power section. Also about the attracting swords, daggers, knives or scythes power, I nerfed the distance and place a limit on the weight as well. The weight of an average long-sword is 1kg, and scythes are usually at least twice the weight of a long sword, meaning Thanatos cannot attract scythes unless they are extremely light ones. Daggers and knives are usually at most 750g, but on the downside is that because I added a decreased range accuracy, making him not that likely to hit his enemies if he was to throw his weapons. The other limit on the weapon attraction thing makes Thanatos only able to use that to get his weapons back if he was to drop it or lost it etc. and can't just stay out of range and make the weapon attack the enemy instead. I guess Thanatos would also have a bit of enhanced strength due to his training in martial arts since a young age, but the amount depends on you.

@Thanatos:
Putting the scythe and sword in your powers section is actually a good idea, since it'll stop people who haven't read this from trying to get "teach" you that the inventory is supposed to be empty. Just add them to your inventory also.
Weapon Attraction still seems a little OP, but not nearly as much as before. Maybe change it to where you can't suck them in, but instead you have a "Weapon Sense," where you can feel where smaller weapons are within 5m.
Please define Weapon Manipulation, and the extents of the decreased range accuracy. Coupled with these we could give you an SL of around, say, 5 (Unless others feel this is too powerful).

Okay made defined weapon manipulation and the extent of decreased ranged accuracy. Also added the weapons into inventory. Then changed the weapon attraction thing to a weapon sense like you said, but then I changed it to a radius of 10m, since only sensing weapons within 5m doesn't seem that useful as he can only sense daggers, swords, knives and scythes. So now my application, just check if anything else needs to be changed.

Name: Thanatos
Allegiance: Villian
Inventory:
1) Father's Scythe
2) Father's Sword
Crystal: A black Orb shaped ruby that is about five times the size of a human fist.
Power:
1) Able to sense where swords, daggers, knives or scythes that are within a 10m radius away from him.
2) Weapon Manipulation - Able to use daggers, swords, knives and scythes with near perfect techniques (about as skilled as Himura Kenshin is with a sword)
3) Starting off with father's scythe and sword
4) Decreased Ranged accuracy - If a normal person would hit a target 100% of the time with a gun, Thanatos would only be able to hit it 60%-75% of the time.
