Okay I have and idea I seen in most RPG's or other games like this have a shield. Mercy's and Tech mage's could wear there shield on there side of arm. The left arm to be exact. I was thinking a hybrid like 3+ Resistance and defense but I would find that a little oped so I decide to just make them single sided like the old armor use to be. so ether 3+ resistance or 3+ defense. They will have both cred and varium flavor's to them.

Credit Price: 25,000
Vairum Price: 15,000 cred and 1,500 varium
If you feel that the price should be raised or lower then please free to tell me what it should be.

NO ENCHANTMENT SLOTS

But I ran into a problem with the bounty's. They have dagger's and putting a shield on them but they might lose there coolness of there dagger look or make them 2x cooler looking. So can help me on this part?

Stats for phis would be: Defense 3+
Str 5
Tech 3
Dex 3
support 5

The Energy 1:
Resistance 3+
Str 3
Tech 5 and dex 5
and support 3



No requirements for this just like armor
P.S I decide to make both Credit and Varium version the same stats.

do you know about energy shield and defense matrix? those are our shields.

@Renegade Reaper Those activated shields not hand held shields even in RPG's they have activated shields and hand held shields

Not supported since these would make the powerful even more powerful especially str mages. Even with thier nerf there are some who use the str build, and these shields would make it even harder to deal with them and other classes/players who like to use tank builds.

@Mother1 Well there are few bm str build's but this won't give them much of advangte if you have 1 too...

^ It will still make tanks even more tanky. Tanks are hard enough to deal with as it is, and you want to have something they can buy to make them even more tanky? not supported.

@Mother1 u will just be as tanky as them plus build are post to defeat other build's but lose to current builds. Depends how u use them

 Wouldnt that just make a tech mage with max plasma Beast?Edit:well i wouldnt mind it if it was just part of an armour

We have armors, therefore unsupported.

Shields would only add extra trouble.

@aqworlder3 No it wouldn't. Cause that will make it weaker agesint phis attk's.

@Waxor9001 Like I said above RPG's have armor and shield's. And extra trouble? More Fun when the game is more challenging.

How about it add's for example +1 to resistance, then it does -1 to defense, that way it makes you think a little bit more of your build, y'know, add a downside
Although, I wouldn't like the art, it would look odd

Yeah.. and it didnt give chance for non-varium user (like me) to use it.. besides, u guys (WHo use varium) already can use that varium to upgrade your stats.. (Which to me, like cheating).. not fair for u to use it without thinking for others.

Strikeryuz_ae@ 1 It doesn't have enchantment slots. 2 Credit version is only 25k. 3. The varium version is just few higher then yours.

Phis : 3+ Str
3+ Dex
3+ Tech
2+ Support


Energy: 2+ Str
2+ Dex
4+ Tech
4+ Support

It has a nice thought, but I do not think that ED is ready to see this.


With abusive stats the way it is, take a guess on the abuse of stats with MORE stats.


Take this for instance:


With my enhancements + stat enhancements I can very well obtain +71 dexterity. With a physical shield, I can thus have +74 dexterity.


Meaning...

I would have

77+74 dex, giving me:

39-47 + 5 +1 +3

Making it 48-56 defense. A bit OP, if you ask me.



Also, 15,000 creds and 1500 varium for a shield that I can easily get for 25000 creds? LOL WUT?


1500 varium is...a LOT.

Since the rate from varium to credits is 1var~56 creds, then that is 84k + 15k, which is 99,000 creds that is the same as the 25,000 one.





Better idea?


35K for the shield (credit flavor)


OR


10,000 creds and 500 varium.


We varium still spend 3k more than you on this shield.

See where this is going?



Variums are MEANT to have a SLIGHT advantage over f2p, thus making your old system more Credit advantage.

If it had no stats, enhancements, or specials, only gave +2 in one or split into +1, and was only available with credits then maybe.

I think it should be +1 defence and resistance for 10k, +2 defence and resistance for 20k, +3 defence and resistance for 30k, and so on. It should have no enhancements and instead of a shield maybe an amulet? For the varium version maybe every 10k credits is 500 varium? Feel free to change it any way you want.

@rayniedays How would you achieve that by 3 extra dex points? and above in bold says NO ENCHANTMENTS SLOTS!

@Mr.Black OP plz read my idea. IT DOES SAY NO ENCHANTMENTS! also I doesn't say it has special so there is no special. The stats it gives very very little. what will 2+ or 3+ Defense or Resistance do for u?

@Like a boss well RPGS (included MMORPGS) they have shields that they carry for classes alike. If they didn't have it, wont be 100% pure RPG or MMORPG game. The only reason it cost this much cause its first of its kinda.

In a 5 round match it gives me around 10-15 more total health which could win me the match.

Cool idea but... if they are not "active" shields .. then they are nothing more than other passive shields, like you said, hybrid armor.
This needs a bit more work on.
