Location (PvE):
I would recommend training at Rev's location, or Abber's other spawn location (the castle). They both contain monsters that don't have too many shields, which allows you to kill them quicker.
Battle Strategy:
As for battles, I would recommend charging to 14/19 depending on your level/hand. Generally, you'll want to discard shields, life drain, and sometimes unblockables. Shields aren't good for training since you won't be taking too much damage, life drain can be used sometimes, but other times it's 5 damage for 8 energy, since the health doesn't really matter against AI. Unblockables just aren't cost efficient, but if you're going to be overcharged or the opponent has like 1 hp and put on a shield or something, then it's fine to use it. Other times, I wouldn't recommend it too much. Stack Poison when you can, empower to discard any useless cards, or you can also discard 1 or 2 attack cards since they aren't cost efficient, and empower will give you more damage.

Edit: Also, turning quality to low (maybe medium if you highly dislike low quality) will also help speed up battles, unless if your computer is excellent and can already handle it very well on any quality.
