Yes, this does not bode well for future "catch 'em all" quests. I'm hoping the next one's just "capture 1 of each starter" or something similar, where the targets are easy to find, but a bit hard to capture. That should cut down on the frustration levels a little.

No clue why Mishap is so rare though. Just like how I have no clue why Water Tick was so expensive.

@Beck: Exactly, it is much better to have a hard possession rate than a low encounter rate.

It all started with the Xboosts. Ever since that release everything else afterword just kept on getting more out of balance.

Actually a low spawn rate/high possess rate is more fair, since in the reverse, SG users can just skip the frustrating process and insta-catch everything. Though it would be way less annoying if it was like that...

Until theres a quicker way to level up without spending SGs on x-boost then I will not level anything to 20

 I thought I recalled several people asking for quests and releases that weren't finished within hours of the release. Sure it seems a little ridiculous to have to spend a day on two on some of the rarer characters(leaving several days trying to get them all) but this is Nulgath after all, and there are quests in AQW and ED both that make these character hunts like cake walks in terms of time.

Nice one. I got to work on my 8th level 20 now. I will need more permanent boost if i want to have plenty of 20s just for fun.

@Beck: I wouldn't exactly call it fair because everything is revolving around SG users without keeping the free players in mind. If it were high encounter/low possession then it would give free players a much more better chance while giving SG users a bit more of an advantage.

@ND: Yeah, I can understand characters relating to quests to be so hard to find. But it seems that the majority of characters without connected to any quest chains are also just as hard to find.

 Mishap reminds me of The Magic School Bus. Because every time the students or Mrs. Frizzle turned into an animal to explore whatever adventure they were currently on, their bodies would turn into an animal, but they still had their own head. So now everytime I see Mishap, I hear "Ride on the Magic School Bus! *beep beep!*" play in my head ._.

Alternatively, the low spawn rates are farming bait. You want the cool looking green Drake? Do more battles! Play this game more! Develop an urge to buy shortcuts! It's a pretty solid strategy for a game that's still I development.

 @Beck, Actually the kids enjoyed it. That was one of my favorite shows growing up, makes me want to go find Mishap in honor of the good times I spent watching it xD

@Beck: I just fear these solid strategies might turn this game into P2W. And the low possession rate/high encounter rate still develops that urge to buy 'shortcuts' when them free players are constantly losing out on the possession. It doesn't even have to be so high, Witch and Augustiner are very good examples that weren't impossible to find but were also not so easy to capture either.

So I just got my Pikeman Commander- something I've wanted for a long enough time.
To my even bigger surprise I encountered a Mishap for the first time ever.
Oh and I captured it too.

@cyber some are finding it easy. It took 3 tries for me though so it's if the rng is good on you.
