Their is honestly not much difference except the assimilation way you can see the exact amount you will get without calculating or testing.

Plus im not sure if the energy side of the old mechanic was unblockable, I have a feeling it wasn't.

Also I don't mind if the change what it improves with to nothing making it more like the old system?
Or perhaps they could make it another stat like dex or tech perhaps.

There is a difference... One way you can get 300 energy or 30 energy with static charge depending on your str and enemy defenses, the other way is a fixed amount.

If it is improves with str like assimilation then the % return will be less. So I want it to be like the old one which will drain constant energy but will only improve by upgrading your primary .......
And this will also make it more Unique by making it work differently unlike assimilation.

I see well the same effect would be reached if they made it like assim and improve woth nothing but level scales.

Only difference is it makes it less confusing since it tells you the exact amount rather than a percentage.
Personally I think it should improve with a stat, my guess is the people would want it to be STR, but on a personal note I would rather it improve with dex , tech or support however I'm fine with whatever.
