Xmas Elf also had Shatters and Freeze, which let it stun the enemy for 2 turns while forcing damage on it and putting up shields/healing, a lot more than Soul Wyvern can do. The only things water characters can do are attack and heal.

Soul wyvern can sustain its self with all the shields and heals it has to win without losing health.

It has no stun move though, no DoTs, and no card that compresses two shields into one (so it will need to take up 4 cards in its hand to reach the cap, where Xmas Elf only needs 2 cards). It also hurts itself to do damage with sacrifice, which makes it easier to beat. Xmas Elf was just really powerful because it had all the best cards of ice characters and could also heal a lot.

That would happen if the opponent used crush or snow orb without any defense. Otherwise, it's a bug.

The way I play necrosis is to set up a poison first, then a mark of death if I have one, then shield while letting the DoT do its work, then pouring in the attacks/ void reflections. Is this the correct way to do it? Or is there a better way?

There's no real correct way, there are different ways to play characters. The way I do it is prioritizing defense, so I would use shields, poison, mark of death, and then normal attacks depending on my hand and how much energy I have. Void Reflection is usually too costly to be useful, but it can be useful against enemies that don't have a lot or any DoTs/unblockables, so I would use it before anything else if you think it will help a lot in the match.

I just think its really funny when they kill themselves because of the counter attack. Also it pretty cost effective isn't it? Two normal 500 shields is 6 charges for 1000 defense, and 10 mare charges for 1 200 attack and 2 400 attacks. That would normally equal a full hand and cost 16 charges as opposed to 13 charges and 1 card, allowing more versatility.

But if you think of it like 2 500 attacks and 2 shields, it would cost 14 energy, which is only 1 more energy than its actual cost. Its original cost was actually 15, but of course that was changed because it cost more than 2 counters. There's no such thing as a 400 attack anyway.

Oops my bad but its still more cost efficient and you can add more attacks in the same hand. So, yeah, cheaper and better, right?

Yeah, but you should only use it if you think your opponent will actually hit you for 1000 regular damage, so don't use it against very weak characters or characters with many DoTs/unblockables. It's expensive and shadow has no charge card, and all your energy is important as a shadow character.

Then you just kill yourself. That only works in PvE, it's usually not worth it in PvP. And no shadow character has enough sacrifices/bloodrages that it doesn't have to watch how many DoTs or VRs it uses.

I have not tested earth elemental at all to be honest, but just looking at the deck quickly I would add another earthquake and mountain strike and call it a day.

^Nah, plenty of other good free Shadow characters that deserve more attention than him imo, Dark Griffon for example is a great 5-hitter

Elite Dark Slayer just capture them both (Leather Face & Dark Griffon) they are both unique looking characters with respectable decks, then level Necrosis after.

Necrosis is the strongest of the three with the other 2 being seasonals. Speaking of seasonals next year is one of those years that has 3 Friday the 13ths.
