the reason why people liked passives were because its something that is infinite in battle and was made every class different. Since we are going in the direction of cores why not suggest cores that vary apon class for example:
-3 New Mission chains
merc chain
hunter chain
mage chain

All three chains reward 1 passive core depending on which class you are but to prevent stacking by changeing class the requirement is: class restriction to use and changeable

now for an example of an passive for each class:

merc +30def core
hunter +5% hp return for each hit
mage +30dmg on gun

What do you all think about this suggestion?

Well, it has to be balanced better, because an extra 30 damage on guns is the weakest one.

1 - u just made merces tankier
2 - u gave ch blood lust with this massive static = mega op
3 - you just made the most op class in game ( bm ) will never be defeated

not supported what so ever...

1 - you will be hitting merces with only 30
2 - ch and bh will never die
3 - blood mage = bludgeon , gun , strike dead if not then another bludeon

you just want a game with 30 + rounds ?

^ Was it the way when Real Passives were around?

I guess not it will be like if u want HP regain u will sacrifice Being tank and Extra dmg and Etc.

If you read the converstation, Suboto was just giving examples to better explain his suggestion.

Even then, you kinda exaggerated the hunter cores. 100 damage = 5 health or better yet 300 damage = 15 health. That's nothing.

^ nope ! when passives were here it was normal

when they did all active skills then they nerfed things with it example

sword was 36 damage on lvl 35 now 33damage on lvl 35 and 35 on lvl 40
gun was 35 damage on lvl 35 now 32 damage on lvl 35 and 35 on level 40
club/blades/staff was 34 damage on lvl 35 now 32 on lvl 35 and 34 on level 40
aux was 40 damage on lvl 35 now 36 on lvl 35 and 40 on level 40

if the weps were like normal skills like befor ! like so on lvl 40 :

sword 40
gun 40
club/blades/staff 39
aux 44

i will support this idea

but since it's nerfed then no support .

^ they minus weapons damage in order that all active skill tree works ...
