I don't actually know where this belongs so if this isn't the right place let me know and I'll move it - thanks in advance

Is there an option on the boards that allows you to block (or at least not show) posts made by a certain user? I've been looking but I can't find anything like this. Sorry!

Yes. Under each post there is the

icon that let you do exactly that, it blocks the poster for your account.
