I just had this thought today and wanted to see what everyone thought about it. Epicduel is a pvp based game, right? Then why do we have a level based system where players only fight those of the same level range? Most pvp games don't think of levels in this sense. (That I know of, I'm not familiar with most games) I think in order for epicduel to be successful they need to completely revamp their leveling concept, especially with its small player base. For example, -> Remove the levels -> Replace classes with a large pool of skills that players can choose from -> Replace the current weapon system with weapons/items that give defined abilities/stats/effects -> Add more pvp-based achievements. (Its a pvp game, i mean, who cares how many hairstyles you bought) -> If there were to be a level system, don't make it the backbone of the game (Make it where levels give you micro-bonuses) -> Have both 'casual' matchmaking and 'ranking' matchmaking. So hardcore players can fight other hardcore players, and casuals can fight casuals. The suggestions I made are based on my knowledge of pvp-based gaming (which is limited to mostly League of Legends, Contract Wars, and Kongregate games)
