Doomknight's description is inaccurate as it states that the heal is twice its DoT, but the truth is the heal is half of the DoT total per stack.
While it has a moderate heal at five stacks, it lacks the standard defenses of resistance, the critical chance debuff isn't useful for the majority of monsters save a few bosses with effects and stats.

Just as I suspected Shadowstalker is above necromancer in speed and survival

Necro 1st run against Maximum Slugfit

47.5 (Ran into severe HP and mana problems.)
37.5 (Ran into still some HP and mana problems)
40.2 seconds
38.4 seconds
At this point I was practically sure that it'd be around 37-45 seconds on average on basically every run I continued

SSoT against slugfit
30.4 seconds
30.9 seconds
28.7 seconds
30.2 seconds.
Yeah way faster and strangely consistent. The consistency had to do with the dodge, I didn't struggle with mana or HP at all.

SSoT against glogglurk
1:09.2 seconds
necromancer against gloglurk

I couldn't actually survive against gloglurk any more to get any more times.
I tried atleast 15 times and still couldn't. Sorry.

SSoT's survival was beyond anything necromancer could hope for in both boss fights.

S.N.O.W Challenge
Not many people know to use this as a benchmark but he's a great boss that can hit 700+ on crits and has 150k HP, he's basically the peak of normal bosses in terms of damage and his average HP makes him absolutely perfect
1:56.4 (I could actually use infect as much as I wanted throughout the fight and at no time was having any HP or Mana crisis.)


SSoT is faster in practically any scenario than necromancer, even when necromancer doesn't have to worry about HP or Mana.
I'm practically convinced that SSoT is better now, I didn't struggle with mana really at all through any of these fights and I had no problem with survival.
With necromancer I had noticeable struggle with HP and mana against slugfit and horrible chances to even survive against gloglurk. So survival and mana/HP management has to go SSoT.
With speed, I absolutely destroyed Necromancer's times. If necromancer is a top tier soloer, then SSoT is too.
When it gets to past gloglurk damage though you shouldn't even be using either, as neither will survive a boss that can hit over 2000.
SSoTs lack of resist makes it a game of whether you will be oneshot or get a lucky 2 shot before you can heal up. Necromancer's 40% resist and 700 heal paired with it's selfharm damage wont save it either though.

ShadowStalker is an amazing class. Perhaps the only problem is that it costs 6k ACs.

Most of the time I see people using "free player soloing classes" mentioned before for boss fight(normal/easy), does that mean those classes(except vhl of course) are pretty good compared to "non-free" soloing classes?

Besides VHL, is the dps pretty much simillar for the other soloing class against average/standard health boss.

afaik only comparable one is necromancer. UOK falls a bit short i think.typical non free soloing classes are lightcaster, ldmk, and SSOT i think? shaman doesn't stack up dps wise unless it's pretty high hp bosses, and AP isn't really a DPS kinda class. DSG and GB don't nearly stack up dps wise iirc.

It depends on your definition of "free player" classes. Some people consider Legion DoomKnight and LightCaster to be free player classes as a player can get 1k or 1.2k Acs pretty easily through offers or through ACs give by AE along with the Honorable Hero Badge. Others don't.

If you compare these classes with those that are behind a solid pay barrier such as Member exclusive classes and Heromart classes, then yes, the "free player" ones are much better than the non-free ones.

Hello there!

I've just recently came back from a 5 year hiatus, and while looking at the new classes I thought I'd pick up Ranger and Thief of Hours because they both seem really fun to play thanks to their high sway dodge and their gimmicks (Temporal Insanity/Ranged), how good are they these days? I dont wanna waste my time grinding rep for a worthless class.

PS: I'm sad at how bad Darkside is these days, I remember everyone going nuts at it when it first came out

Both of the classes are... not good. They really can't hold a candle to the current meta classes, so you'd pretty much be wasting your time farming for them if you planned to use them for serious stuff. If you're looking to get back into the game, StoneCrusher is one of the best support classes, Shaman and Blaze Binder are great farming classes, Lightcaster (if you can rustle up the 1000 ACs for it) is a superb soloing class and is coming back soon. Vampire Lord is going to be the birthday class so it should be here in a few weeks. I can't tell you much about it but it's another one to consider picking up if you're willing to wait a bit. Your CP, assuming that's your main, shows you got SS which is a pretty good farming class, so you might want to look at some support/solo classes to round out the inventory.

They actually buffed it a while back. It wasn't really super great before that but IIRC they doubled the damage of the first two skills and added an HoT to Hydrophobia, and those two alone turned it into one of the best farming classes available. Arcangrove is a pain to rep and it's just been getting worse as changes are made, but it's well worth it. Especially if you're going to go after StoneCrusher.

Chrono Assassin used to be pretty fun to play, but now it's bugged (as is ToH) so Deadlock doesn't work. For CA, Deadlock happens to give both a HoT and a massive 50% damage boost, so losing that effect really hurts the class both offensively and defensively.

If I recall right, ToH always had issues. Because it and chrono assassin are similar, they have the same problems. But at least the classes work on test servers.

Click on any of these servers: Safiria, Zorbak, Testing Server 2. You'll get a box asking if you want to switch to the testing game client. Click "Yes". The login screen will appear again. Enter your details and again click on any of the servers I mentioned above.

Does the wiki have warrior's decisive strike description wrong or is there an error in game? I saw it as 190% in game but is shown as 150% on wiki.

The wiki is probably correct. It's common that the in-game description is wrong/bugged (Cuz, you know, to fix it, you need to do some coding).

What's the most useful class (Free player preferred) to be used in test server? I've seen evolved leprechaun deal 100k-5.7 mil with auto attack with full luck. Are there any other class that can rival evolved leprechaun?

From my experiences farming Ultra-Tibicenas in the testing server, Stonecrusher and UOK are both a little bit broken there. For SC, when magnitude procs it seems to multiply the damage of your auto attacks as well as your abilities, so I've seen those big juicy 100k+ crit autos with AFDL pieces equipped. Add to that the fact that it's still one of the best support/solo classes in the game regardless of it's huge damage buffs. As for UOK, it already hits like a truck to begin with, so the auto attack multiplier benefits it greatly. Also, I'm not sure if it was just lag, but when I was using it briefly I was able to have both Resplendent aura and Destructive aura active at the same time.

1. Having Destructive + Replenishment Aura is another test server bug, you can only do it 1 way around though (activating destructive and then Replenishment, or vice versa, I can't remember which way it is, on the top of my head, it was a while ago I last looked into it).
2. Extra juicy damage boosts is also no longer AFDL specific, but it's still limited to either AFDL or spending 2k ACs on a, soon to be rare, item. I never really liked having the whole AFDL set on anyways, so I'm happy about this.

Also a little side note, un-equipping a pet with damage boosts while having other of the same type damage boosts doesn't seem to remove the boost entirely, like it would with any other set piece.

Evo Leppy has lower dodge, accuracy and haste with Full Thief than Full LUK.
Also, are dodge rates supposed to be so low in the testing servers? Blademaster just doesn't feel like Blademaster anymore.

VHL. Good luck trying to farm for it. You're gonna need it.
Lightcaster trumps anything in DPS if you stack it long enough but most monsters would be dead long before you even reach half of the stacks.

IMO both are good. In fact both are GREAT. Get both if you can.

Deadlock itself gains you 50% damage? According to the wiki, Deadlock + Shift gives you a 20% damage boost,
Deadlock + Convert also gives you 20%... How does this add up to 50%? They are both Damage output buffs.. They should stack additively. There's also another 20% from the reflect + deadlock.
2nd. CA has more bugs you didn't list..

Shift seems to increase haste and dodge by 20% instead of 40% and doesn't stack.
Relapse doenst apply deadlock and doesn't stack it as it cant apply it, which in turn effects every other skill.
Convert's bug is beneficial towards the class as the crit damage increases more than it should considering that crit damage stacks additively, and the class crits 100% of the time after the 2nd stack
Hysteria doesn't apply enhance time only applies temporal insanity. Deadlock + Enhance Time gives you another 20% damage buff. Without enhance time or deadlock this wont happen.

Every skill is bugged.

LightCaster trumps LDK and Necromancer from start to finish. LDK at no part of a fight has higher DPS than lightcaster and Necromancer doesn't even get to stand up against either.
Everyone is forgetting that LDK needs to stack aswell, otherwise it's even slower than LC at no stacks... It starts lower than LC and LC stacks faster, and at 15 stacks for both maxing out LDK, LC is still faster.

I think with LC coming out in a few days, we should figure out exactly how well VHL times against LC for large bosses. I got VHL, so if anybody wants to time with LC (and SSoT too why not), that'll be great. I used a +15% +dmg2all boost, no racial damage boost, level 80 spiral carve, and full luck VHL.

Against Ultra Akriloth with 623,679 hp.
