This is an IMR question mostly.

Given the new cake pet's heavy utility focus (you weren't kidding when you said you went way all out on that thing, holee 8O.), are the charge costs at the higher ends (specifically the stat boosts) supposed to be that prohibitive? considering they offer 1 turn's worth of boost for 20 turns of charging (10 if you're using the rare bard of war armors but let's not count that into this) vs say the previous package spell offering 3 turns worth of boost. Also is the str boost from the pet supposed to not be stacking with said package spell?
Could the charge cost or the duration of the boosts be revisited?

oh and uh, maybe a charge counter so we can see how many we have if we are past 25, please?

ideally I'd just scrap the pet damage and make it be a full utility slot like the kindred pet with multiple charges per turn but as I've been told that may be a bit too greedy

Right now I'm not planning on changing the pet, though I'll take notes on what to (not) do the next time. Making the pet less damagey and more statusy is DEFINITELY on the table.

I'm adding a bit to the mouseover popup to show your charges. Clear your cache to get it!

question, is there any plan to go over some of the champion sets? because some of the full set abilities are kinda useless, like the energy champion, great 9999 turns of stun, except the actual chance of them not being able to move is so low that its pointless, so you have to hit em multiple times, but by the time you do that theyre probably close to dead anyway so you might as well have just used the damage ability instead. Maybe a 1/3 chance to not attack, somewhere around 33% or so on the first cast would be nice.

When are we going to get our rewards and how exactly are we going to get them? I have full items slots so will I have to buy more for me to get them or will they be automatically be given out without the need to.

Sorry folks but the programmers need a little more time to finish the Thunderbird items. IMR says they should be done over the weekend, then I'll hand out all your rewards on Monday.


Contest items work the same way as other additions such as promo item purchases. They will be added directly to your storage even if you capped.

Ex: if you're storage is at 15/15 it would become 16/15. That 1 over your current storage limit and this is fine. It just means you would need to buy more storage or sell items if you wanted to buy more items. Here's my " Pets" as example.

edit: This was probably a question that was best suited to the event topic or even the Q&A as it's relevant to an on going event and is more of general question than one that only Dev's could answer.

I bought the Zardnado painting . is this a one time spell or can you get it perm.Right now it only last until you log out.

^that's how it works, you kill the zardnado and you get the temp spell for that login session.

Thunderbird Joust Lance is only up to 28-35 for a lv150 character which is only equivalent to a P lvl of 150, is it supposed to be scale up to P lvl 150 only and not P lvl 153? It would be sad if that's the case considering the fact that both Crimson Crusader and Cometfall scaled to P lvl 153.

Mogdin appears to be bugged, seems to be using STR for infliction instead of CHA, as when I use it on my warrior I almost inflict all the time, but when I use my Ranger (which has 200 cha, but 0 STR) it almost never paralyse. Its toggle button is also working wrong, paralysis is normal attack and normal attack is paralysis. Mogdin also doesn't have pop-ups for when it does paralyse or fails(edited)

How many story points (well, maybe estimated hours is an easier measurement) is a usual sprint for the dev team? I'm gonna assume you do weekly sprints

I was wondering if the Thunderbird Joust armor could be changed back to how it was before when it completely hid the player's hair? Currently the hair is sticking out around the helm and it looks really weird.

Is the Back to School Contest still happening, and if so, when is it?

Second question/idea: a lot of people apparently don't like the mid leans, so would it be possible at some point to make it possible to switch leans with the Ultra(MO -> FO) and Awe(MD -> FD) armors, in the same way as changing their elements? And be able to switch the lean back, too.

I think that whoever wrote the latest news entry on the AQ homepage forgot to change the date from the last entry when CP'ing the template; I saw it and got confused since the content was nowhere to be seen in-game.

Uhn... If it's not too much to ask, is it possible to update the stat rolls of the old class quests to use the new "Defy it" system? I've just spent some good two hours trying to max out Ninja class, and I think half of that was just on trying to get from lv 9 to 10 because I need 80 in a DEX roll to pass... T.T

Asking to re-do the entire class quests would obviously be way too much, but could you just change the rolls to the new ones? It would help so much! >.<

If not, are there at least any plans for revisiting those old quests in the near future? *puppy eyes*

Ah! Are lore questions allowed here? Just something I got really curious about crossed my head right now...

Does the staff consider that the Chosen grew in power as the story progressed? Something like... Would we now be able to beat Akriloth even while he had the Fire Orb, without needing the Frozen Claymore? Or is it considered that the power of the Chosen throughout the storyline has been more or less the same from the start?

Just a random thought that came to my head! I hope there is no problem putting this here! ^^)/

I think that this is one of those speed of plot questions - if we need the Chosen to be stronger, then they're stronger, but if we need them to be the same, then they're the same. Personally, I think they're getting stronger. ~IMR

Oh oh, another question! *hopes I'm not being too much of a bother*

Do you have any plans on the order in which you'll update the classes, races and/or the yearly MC sets? Like... AFAIK Werepyre, Paladin and Necromancer are all on the priority list *hopes Archmage is there too*, but aside from those, are there any plans on which will be the next things you'll be revamping?

As in, not asking for an ETA or anything, but more like being curious about the order you intend to go after them, or if there is any planned order at all! >.<

Quick question but I can't seem to find the reason: Why do magic skills cost more than ranged skills (like for Ultimon's armour)?

Mage attacks are weaker than warrior attacks, but all skills do the ~same damage. Mages get a bigger boost out of them, so they pay more. ~IMR

Because magical weapons deal 75% damage of ranged ones. To deal 200% damage (damage of a standart skill), ranged skills need an extra 100% damage, while magic ones need 125%, hence the difference in costs.

Another slightly plot related question: is the Chessmaster Saga really over? The last installment left on... quite the cliffhanger, which although interesting, didn't really give any resolution. So, will the ending segue into a new quest saga/is there still more to come, or is what we have the end?

IIRC, Falerin appeared on Discord to mention that he doesn't have any time right now. He asked whether he should just cram everything he intended into one last chapter sometime soon or wait for a while for him to finish RL stuff and create an extensive ending that we all deserve.
