Gifting 2019 is coming up fast, and I want to fully flesh out an idea I've been tossing around for a while now. The basic idea is that you have two gifting options: 1) The normal gifting option to gift everyone in the room you're in for one world for 325 Varium; 2) An option to gift everyone in one room throughout all worlds for 1000 Varium. Now let me address some problems I anticipate people might have: Why does this work? Think about it: Optimally, a room will have 140-150 people in it when people gift, since it's the same cost regardless of number of people. With my suggestion, you'd have to have triple that number (420-450) throughout the worlds gathered in one room to make it more effective than the normal option. It would be more difficult to get that many people coordinated, but you could quite possibly exceed 450 and make the 1000-Varium option even more efficient than the 325-Varium option (e.g. gifting 500 people --> 2 Varium/gift vs. gifting 150 people --> 2.167 Varium/gift). Why implement this when the current gifting option already exists? First of all, as I've already stated, it could potentially provide even more gifts for a lower price (although not a ridiculously low one), both for the people receiving the gifts and the gifter himself/herself -- a win-win scenario. Secondly, it would completely solve the complaints and heartbreak for those who can't get into gifting rooms because the world in which gifting is occurring is full; obviously multi-world gifting won't be as common as normal gifting, but it would at least give everyone a shot at getting a decent number of gifts. The full-world problem was a huge issue last year and this feature would solve it without having to increase world limits. Why implement this when global gifts already exist on gifting streaks? Aren't we trying to prevent people from sitting idle in the game and receiving gifts? Global gifts are different; when a global gift occurs, everyone in the game is gifted, regardless of room, world, or battle status. (They're also not very common, which is a good thing in my opinion since then idlers don't receive massive numbers of gifts.) The feature I'm suggesting is still room-specific, just not world-specific. Therefore, you still have to relocate to the correct room to receive gifts, thereby negating the problem of botters/idlers. I'd appreciate feedback on this. I've given it a lot of thought, but there still might be some issues I haven't considered. I want to work them out so we can have this system; I think it'll make a lot of people happier.
