Timeless Chronomancer Hey everyone, I would like to talk about the Timeless Chronomancer class and it's variations. Right now, the class it's a bit of a mess, from all the 9 consumables combinations just 2 are really usable, and that should not be the case. This class has a great concept of being an adaptable and complex class, but it lacks consistency, I feel like it has great potencial but kinda of a bad design. I think the class should also have a better defined core principles, my suggestion to achieve that is to better define what stats should be important for the class and what each hourglass and corruption should do, I think all of them should have more of a role and be usable without corruptions, for consistency sake. In my opnion all the hourglasses modes should share some traits, for an example, I think all of them should be a dodge based class, and buff the same stats, this would also make everything more consistent without limiting how different the modes can get. Hourglass of Transcience This hourglass is what sets the tone of my suggestions, it has a lot of personality and a lot of problems. I find the idea of having a self dot and a dodge buff really interesting, this kinda changes how you approach a monster because you not just fighting the monster, it becomes a secondary thing, you are mostly fighting the dot, and that's really cool. With that said, I think the first thing to do is to define what how I think this hourglass should work, what would be it's weak/strong points as well it's challenges and what are the current problems that it faces. I think this hourglass should have a role of being a high skill, high reward, high risk kinda of gameplay, going towards soloing high hp, high hitting bosses. Let's start the discussion by the problems and then talk about ideas. The first problem is that the self dot on Transcient is too unpredictable, it gets increased/decreased by your resistances, stats, total hp, other class buffs and so on. That even makes this hourglass conflict with forge enchantments. For an example if you use Valiance as your weapon enchantment, the self dot is gonna grow so much that you gonna die even with Infinite Corruption healing, not to mention the capes or helms enchantments This hourglass is only really usable when you are alone and combining it with Infinite Corruption because you need the healing hot to survive the dots. The second problem is that the dodge buff is only accessible after you use your fourth ability twice without healing, that makes this hourglass even more unreliable, making it almost impossible to survive a monster damage combined with the self dot, even when the monster has a low damage. Now let's talk about the ideas. The first thing to do would be to define this hourglass identity a little better. In my opnion the original design goes for something of a dodge class with a high skill celling and great damage, so let's improve that. My idea is to fully embrace the dodge class aspect of the hourglass, the growing self dot that makes it impossible for you to always have the dodge and the two fase damage and haste buff, making it so that you need to have a good timing of your abilities if you want to extract the full potential of the class. So my idea is to first make the self dot more predictable, making it deals true damage based on a percentage of your max health and grow with time, this way the self dot would not be affected by buffs or equipments, making it posslbe to use more corruption combinations, forge enchantments and it would aways give you the same amount of time to use your abilities. Currently we need to be able to survive 4 ticks of this dot to make a full combo, so a dot that starts taking 5% of your max health as true damage and doubles every time it ticks, would aways let your survive 4 ticks if not hit by a monster, 5 ticks if you have heals, and never 6 as it would get up to 160% of your total hp as true damage. I think it's really important to be a true damage tick so this hourglass can be used with Entropic Corruption. The next thing to do would be to make Transcient apply the 50% dodge buff, so the first time you press the fourth ability you already have a great dodge, making it so that the only damage you have to manage is the true damage self dot, then on the second time you press your fourth ability without healing you would get the current 50% damage buff of Ephemeral, and then if you heal while Transcient or Ephemeral, you get Stabilze, buffing only haste in 50%, we would not need the endurance buff anymore, removing the endurance buff would also increase the risk of dying by getting hit, so it would again benefit someone that can you use this class correctly (Stabilize haste buff is also what makes possible to make a full combo during the 4 first ticks of the self dot). Hourglass of Power Overall this hourglass is currently the best, as it is a lot easier to use than Hourglass of Transcience and it also has the highest damage, as it is the only hourglass usable(barely) with Entropic Corruption. I think this hourglass should have a role of low skill, low reward, low risk gameplay, going towards farming low hitting, high hp bosses. While I really like the simplicity of this hourglass I think it should be changed a little for consistency sake. Instead of buffing damage, haste, critical strike chance, critical strike damage, hit chance, dodge chance, damage resistency by 10%, I think it should buff damage, haste and dodge chance by 20%, this would improve its survivability and overall speed while lowering damage a bit because it would crit less. Also the increased dodge would make this class a lot more usable with Entropic Corruption (it's best match). Hourglass of Paradise Currently this hourglass is not usable, it does not fit any role of the game. This hourglass is designed to transform the class in a Tank, lowering its damage by a lot, but the thing is, we already have a hourglass that do not lower the class damage, and it works a lot better as boss fighting class, so, what is the purpose of having a tanker mode? Also it's buff is activated by the fourth skill, making it not usable with 2 of the 3 corruptions, and the only usable corruption is a healing one, which this hourglass already has a lot. I think this hourglass should be completly transformed in a support role, to continue to have a relavant gameplay compared to the others. This way this class might be used in hard to solo bosses like Azalith, or maybe even an ultra boss. Firstly I would remove the current buff on the fourth skill and would make that it has a permanent -70% damage debuff, but with no crit or crit damage loss. This would make this hourglass usable with the other corruptions, as it's buff would not be tied to the fourth skill anymore. Second thing I would make, is to change the third skill to a area heal to up 6 or 7 friendly targets, giving each one a buff of 30% damage, haste and dodge chance buff and maybe a mana comsuption buff as well. This way this hourglass would continue to have a lot less damage than the others but it would make a great damage support as it still is a calendar class. Entropic Corruption Amazing overall, this corruption is the reason why this class works so well with dodge chance, because at the same time it taunts a target, it increases the damage you take by a lot. This corruption should be the high risk, high reward. I would change the haste buff to a crit buff, something like 10-20% crit chance. This would make that this corruption does not make it easier to use Hourglass of Transcience as it would make sure that you need Stabilize haste buff to work well with the class. It would also slow Hourglass of Power a little as it would get around 40% haste without this. Infinite Corruption This is what makes transcience viable right now, and I really like it's simplicity. This corruption should continue to be the one of a support aspect. I would make it's hot heals something like 25% of the max hp, making sure that when combined with Hourglass of Transcience you can survive the fifth self dot, making it easier to manage the class, giving you more time. I would also move it's dot to the base class, so all of the hourglasses have something of a growing damage over time. And finaly I would add a small 10% dodge buff while the hot is active, this would make all the hourglasses more reliable and easier to use when this corruption is chosen. Foresee Corruption Right now this corruption is just too complicated and has a too high cooldown and it's not used. I think it should be simplified. As the other corruptions, this one should work as buff, but with a low skill, low reward, taking the role of a jack of all trades. It could be simple buff like increasing the damage buff of the fourth skill by an extra 40%-50%. It would be a great alternative to the 100% of Entropic Corruption as it would have none of the downsides. Considerations I think that with those changes this class would be a lot more popular, and a LOT more consistent while keeping it's skill celling and complexity. We would finally have 9 different usable and interesting combinations.
