 Today I went around epic duel to looked at other peoples Bounty Hunter Build.
What I found was shocking.
Theres no poison in even one of the BH build that are lvl 32
I made a build with poison which seems pretty effective

Whats wrong with poison as a skill?

Legendary AK!!!


 10% to block and stun or 33 unblockable damage? Most hunters picked SA over Poison.

 My build contains Maxed Bloodlust, Lvl 9 shadow Arts and Maxed poison
so you can get both poison and shadow Arts either way
But I think it depends on either masscure or poison is better
I think poison is better because sometimes masscure is 1,1,2,2,1,1,10 if mages put defense matrix

poison is really good, most people take Smoke because it can semi defense you and SA because it's passive

mean while Poison require more tank (3 turns for max effect)
also other skill can have stat abuse (Smoke Tech abuse, SA dex abuse plus smoke abuse)

Poison has its power... it's not weak, but can be hard to compare

 honestly why they did not heal like first guy you fight and epicness they both had win weren't play smart. others were easy matches to win.

There's 4 other reason why Poison is not favored

1/ Sword user
2/ You can't heal by Lush
3/ Smoke is easier to get because it's 1st skill
4/ 1 MP more cost :P and smoke deal higher damage

That looks really good. would be very effective on Tank Builds, and with your high energy you can potentially ruin their heal, which makes the poison so much more effective.
However, what if you get EMP'd or a high-str merc uses Atom Smasher, couldn't that ruin the entire strategy?

I see no bounty hunters with it anymore....
In beta basicly every bounty hunter had it they all had the same build

Posion was common build, I find it's very essence if you use Energy Blade, unless ' some other build

 i remember something BT taught me awhile back Poison build can very easily be Very powerful

33 unblockable damage until your get massacre then if you are even a semi STR build you have a good chance of whiping out the enemy(specially with the low HP we see now-a-days)

 I've tried a 5 focus poison build - It simply limits your skill tree too much to produce the highest percentage build possible.(usually reflex boost and field medic end up getting axed) And yet it is much slower then most strength BH builds. Overall poison can make good builds - but from my perspective the skill tree points are too valuable at this point in time for me to spend them on a skill that needs to be maxed to be good.

now poison build are great in 2v2 cause people tend to have lesser hp in 2v2. energy claws+ emp+ poison= support mercs goes bye bye.

I have lv 10 posion, lv 1 mass, lv 4 smoke and maxed SA and bloodlust. Super effective build. Poison for focus users and I can switch to mass if i need too.

For that you'll need a total of 35 skill points, 4 more than the maximum 31 (only counting skill points you can add, not the ones already added to the starter skills)

I think that Dax is right, but a tank poison build does seem to be somwhat helpfull on some npc's. Some say that bounty hunters are overpowered because of their skill tree, and the way everything is set to increase in power, but I think that mage is just underpowered, or that bounty just specealizes in mages.

Nice catch there Siver Sky Magician!!! Its actually 6 SA ,and I would've gotten away with it if it wernt for you meddling kids!!!

Poison will be godly with E Bunny Chompers... Remember that it was meant for defensive builds.

Poison is another skill that is only effective when maxed (energy burner)... Static damage also means less effective as you advance through the levels of the game... Lastly, the poison damage doesn't register with bloodlust, rage, no crits, etc...
If the OP build someday becomes a very low HP build, then it could become effective again. Also, it can be somewhat effective in 2v2, but a waste of energy IMO.

Poison is however a great skill but I dont use it to give more points to more important skills for my build.
