When are they going to do something about these stupid strength abusing Merc. They dont have to put any skill into there builds yet they can 2 turn some without any given effort.

mercs? my problem as a mage was BHs, alsso str mercs aren't good at all (other than defeating mages)

Strength Mercs:
against BHs: if they don't get blocked...........then that'd be strange

against other mercs: I haven't lost to one single merc with intimidation and healing

against mages: I guess if u block 'em ur fine, and energy prim. mercs r no problemo because of technician (I haven't lost to any str merc with energy primary) however really good mercs with a physical club r quite hard to defeat


so just to sum it all up, str mercs may seem OPed to mages but in truth against other classes, they don't do good at all

I guess Wiseman, Lil Jay, Epicness, Mamaril and me are all noobs.

Oh yeah. Comical used to use a strength build about a month back too.

It's actually quite hard to make a usable str build . Primary physical is the worst to go with... energy is much better . But yes ,it's true those builds fail terribly against bounties !

there are ways to counter those "noobs", they are just hard not impossible.
Balancing would only needed if it was seriously impossible.

Most of str mercs without founder and bunnys got 78%-80% win rate and those with founder and bunnys got about 80%-85%. They don't look like a problem to me.

May I ask, what makes them noobs? Just because they beat you? Or because they put all their stats in one category and come out with an effective build? Hm?

helloguy, since when the game is about skill? The point is to win..
If the point is to win, not using such build would rather be stupid.

@helloguy: Correct me if I am wrong, but weren't you once one of those "no-skill heal loopers"? And now your complaining about "no-skill noob" str mercs...

@8rlxo Is that a joke? Heal looping needed a hell of alot of skill to be effective. It's not a case of doing exactly the same thing every single fight like it is for strength builds. You have to know when to malf, when to heal, when to boost and most importantly, when to conserve energy.

^Very rarely, yes.
Most of the time:
Merc: 1st turn maul; 2nd turn zerker; strike/gun for the rest of the battle.
BH: 1st turn smoke; 2nd turn strike; 3rd turn strike; 4th turn massacre; strike/gun for the rest of the battle.
Heal loop mages never did the same thing every battle.

He said noobs because he is frustrated on the str abuse of some builds.

Also I agree with Rabies partially, a str build is fast winning AND losing BUT any build that can win in 2 rounds without the opponent having a chance to attack it's Overpowered.
( I am referring the the maul+ berzerker combo)

People who use actually strategy and tactic don't deserve to be 2-turned. Strength abusers (especially stunzerk mercs) are noobs for getting wins so fast in a broken system.

str builds have a fair share of losses so again, they're not "oped"

as to the "strategy" controversy, all OPed builds have different strategies some more than others, heal looping is unpredictable, with high hp, the mage can shield and tank it out, go all out with malfunction or mix a little bit of both

for str BHs: they can continuously strike and confuse their opponents on when to set up a shield or when to intimidate, or they can smoke,gun/hit,hit/gun, mass, or they can w8 until intimdiate/shields wear off to massacre

str mercs: same as BHs except they use berserker

so maybe str builds don't require as MUCH strategy, but strategy is involved nontheless and heal looping is HARD, never have I see anyone who didn't play mage from when they started this game, be good at heal looping, they try and copy strategies but they still fall a bit short

so its noob to abuse str but its not noob for BH to use lvl 6 SA with 84 dex, and 84 str? with 125 hp?
they all have the same pace, smoke > strike > Strike > massacre
and if u have any HP left they will strike/gun
ohh yeah. this build is just as fast as str mercs, but it has a way bigger winrate than str mercs. the reason why im saying its just as long as str mercs is because most mercs switch their shield over if they are tanks, BH will always block so they just stay offensive, and mages either us technician or matrix. thats why unless str merc goes first AND stuns the chances of winning is lowered down to 20-40%

 While noob is not always a value judgement, the implication that every person who uses a high-strength strategy is inexperienced or beneath you because they use that strategy. Please try to keep discussions of the stat to that or to balance without calling everyone who uses is a nub.

You cant compare Healloop and Other STR builds , Healloop realy require strategy but the str builds not.Only some pro Str users act different in a battle most others only do Maul+ Berserker or Smoke + Massacre

I never had a problem with STR build they only strong when they start with 20-40 support which is unfair , for me the only strong str Merc is Wiseman because he use energy primary and i dont have energy shield still most of the time i win him , for me the only nerf require class is 5 Focus BH , if admins nerf a little them than game will be balanced finally :D
