 Here's a quote from Titan regarding the new stat formulas and taking away Focus damage for everything except Bot damage, taken from the latest Design Notes:

As I see it, 5 Focus Gamma Botters (aka, the No Brains Build), are the most powerful builds in game---so much so, that if you want to beat one, you basically have to get lucky (via blocks or crits). I'd really like to curse out the devs right now for this massive oversight, but I'm reserving that post until we get word that this "new" ED is staying.

So the question is, are they going to change anything? If so, what would you like to see modified?

It would be nice if they removed the Stun to Shadow arts, its annoying how Bh's use a Stun nade as a last pathetic chance to win when their Smoke/Massacre fails.

^ We already got nerfed on SA, I'm sure you won't agree if Admins nerf Mercs, you would go nuts with flaming.

 I wish never change way npc are like hulk. I don't like way change Focus now. but I will get us to it when I return to game If ever.

 Dont insult im 5 focus hunter and got good brain.

and your wrong the no brain are the str and supp abusers.

and some people just use str to go fast. e.e

nothin' wrong with goin' fast, and as for no brains, holy flying eggsalads, really, everyone hated on mercs for being the only ones really using it, and now that 5 focus no longer gives extra damage <-A MAGOR DEBUFF, because the bh's take it up, it's a bad thing

I dont understand how a weakend build is now oped, peopel need to make up their minds XP

How much brains does it take to spam 45 and use a Bot to do all your work?

5 Focus Gamma Botters are the absolute worst (and by worst I mean frustrating, unimaginative, game-breaking) builds in ED.

I find it amusing that Mercs can still find reasons to complain, while everybody (even other Mercs) are complaining about them

Of course I want to see 5 Focus Tech Mercs Nerfed. Heck, the only people who don't are, you guess it, 5 Focus Tech Mercs

 merv your bh to I seen use 5 Focus built as well. Are you try say that fay beee has no brains too cause she use 5 focus built too.

everyone complains because thye cant beat them, they cant beat them because they cant make counter builds, they cant make counter builds because no brains?
like wiseman said its an endless cycle of evolving ur build. if u cant for any reason do what a lvl 28 can do, then u should be ashamed of urself PERIOD.

Oh, but you can't have a Counter-Build for Strength Mercs, Support Mercs, and 5 Focus Tech Mercs at the same time, can you (unless you're a Merc)? And this is just ONE Class we're dealing with here. I know it's impossible to make a Counter-Build that will Counter everybody, but a good Counter-Build should be able to Counter at least one Class.

Should ONE Class give everybody such a hard time?

BH can sure do it.
as a mater of fact a high dex high tech BH will max SA counter, other focus builds, strengh mercs, mages, other smoke mass BH, energy drainers, tankers, heal loopers (if any good ones left) and can last long ammounts of fights.
i had several matches that went 15+ rounds, and they were all with BH.
if u for any reason could not make a counter for all of these types of builds, then u truly are one with no brains.

i no complainz about 5 focus bh, they are quite challenging, and if it's sooooo bad, just build a five focus build urself, then put all enhancement on tech and dex, but mostly tech to pump robot, then have skillz that dole out damage and are boosted by ur dex, for merc its bunker, for mage, basically every thing on far right colomn, and bh, dont know, and dont care, you guys get shadow arts and blood lust, so *raspberries* but all kidding aside, because of no added bonus of damage due to focus, it's more of a chance to get stomped since it means that only the robot can do the most damage, that two hit then they flounderin

 To clear up any misconceptions, I've been a BH from back in early beta. I've done the STR thing, the Sup thing, and the Dex thing. I have an alternate 32 non-varium Merc. I've never played as a TM.

My point is that unless you're also a 5FGB (yaaaaawn), it takes luck to beat them. IMO, if it takes luck and luck only to defeat one particular build, then that is the definition of over-powered. So if, as everyone says, there is a counter to every build, please enlighten me. And no, I will not, out of principle, beat one by become one.

BH its a decent energy, sheild, reflex boost, EMP, stun, smoke and heal.
u fight str merc. u smoke them,
u fight tank merc, u emp them.
u fight tech mage, use energy sheild, u fight another BH smoke them back and use reflext boost.
u fight str BH, use reflext boost. if ur low hp u heal.
u fight a semi loop mage, u outloop them, with bloodlust and shadow arts.
u fight a 5focus merc, u reflex boost and block their robots (thats their main power right? BH blocks the freaking robot)
u keep hitting ur enemies and u loop them. with strategy.
think u cant do it? use ur head and try it.

now i just told u some tips for a build that some BH dont use (and then they complain saying mercs are OP, pfft pathetic)
the average 5 focus BH gets 90%+ at slow pace. i wonder what this will do.

I'm unclear if you're talking about being a 5 Focus Gamma Botter BH---it sounds like you are. If so, I mentioned that I am not interested in becoming one of them in order to beat them. Also, many of your so-called "strategies" revolve around blocking (i.e., luck). So thanks anyway...

nope im actualy a merc.
but BH revolves around blocking thats how they loop with 5 focus and are capable of countering almost any build.
once i reach lvl 33 i will be switch classes to try out BH, tach mage, and if i find success on either one i will stay on that class.
probably BH cause its got that 88str and 84 dex with 125 hp smoke mass build.
its pretty good and wins fast, as good winrates.

Why are u all hating on mercs? First, we are overpowered, theres lots of build mostly by bh's that are op. Second, Tanks are too hard and op. Make ur own build to counter these . If u have a hard time making builds use the Epic Duel Compendium, and the stat progression pg on the wiki. This game is about having fun make ur own op buil nd stop hating on mercs.
