This thread is on very thin ice. Please be respectfull.

I simply don't understand the moderators system. Apart from Cinderella and a few real Artix employees, let's have a look at who is moderating the game. Most of them are players, faction owners with a very bias view on the game. How can this be tolerated ? Same with the forums, as sometimes even a respectfull opinion might get shut down because of a different point of view from the mod.

As some of the rules are [I think] purposedly keep in a grey zone, how can this work ? With more and more people subscribing eveyday and the money cost of the game becoming heavier, we are bound to ask some questions.

Do they get free varium and therefore able to heavily influence the war bar and having endless battle boost making flag wars tainted ?
How can they keep their factions if they choose to be moderators ?

I would like to know the opinion of everybody on this. tks

actualy, the mods no longer abuse the cannon system. that was only early on. dozens of people have allready complained about this exact thing.

Moderators are normal players like you and me.They don't get free weapons,they pay for it like everybody else.They get free achievements(I think).They should get something by helping the community so I think this is fine.And I don't see a problem with moderators being faction leaders.After all,they play the game so why not experience the full potential of it like anybody else.

umm moderators get a varium budget every month. idk if u knew that.
and that budget is given to them free by the devs

Im Pretty Sure the only People That Get free Things are Titan Nightwraith and charfade :P

Mods Do Get Varium For Free. I Don't Care What The Amount Is. I Assure You They Do.

What About Wiseman, DAX, Donna Matrix Being Able To Use Free/Unlimited Varium To Battle Boost For Their Faction Flags?

This Has Been Done Before. You Think KOTR's Current 2 Flags Doesn't Reek Of Mod Varium Battle Boost?

And If They Won Even 1 Or 2 World Dominations Due To Free Varium War Kills, It Corrupts The Entire Faction/War System. But It's Been Quite A Few More Than That, Before They Changed The Rule.

Here's A Simple Solution... If You're A Mod...You Can't "Lead' A Faction. Or You Must Join A "Neutral" Aligned Faction For Mods Only.

Sadly, This Game Is Very Corrupt, Most Players Have No Idea What Goes On.

Mods Can Also Add ANY Weapon/Armor Or Achievement They Would Like To.

If The ED Communtiy Knew What I Knew... What Goes On "Behind The Scenes"...Half Of Them Would Quit Instantly.

I'm pretty sure Eventus got Founder armor when he became mod. I think mods can get rare achievements and weapons, but they dont get varium.

I like the idea. Moderators wins should not count towards absolutly anything. If you want to be a moderator, you need to ''step out'' of the actual game.

@goldslayer1 I didn't know.I know I asked Misery long time ago and he said he payed for his weapons...You are right about Dax and Donna though.I guess there is a lot of stuff going on ''behind the scenes''.I think the neutral faction,or at least not competitive for mods would be a good idea after all.

What mods get as an appreciation for doing volunteer work is none of your business guys. That's for the developers to decide.

Now, what they do with the perks they get is limited. War kills and battle boost are the "limited" features for mods, I think.


EDIT: Also, to enlighten some of you, why do you think mod players' names are taken off some of the leaderboards? Rarity, war kills....money leaderboards? There's also fame, but that's an exception.

@ Fully Enhanced For "Free"... Outdated Gear...Is Still Very Powerful.

Bunnyzookas Fully Enhanced Are As Good As Anything, For Example.

And The Mods, Use Lesser Gear, To "Downplay" Their Status.

They Should Be "Removed" From Faction Flag/Faction War/World Dom Play...

A Neutral Aligned Faction. Simple And Fair Solution.

Not Being Able To Effect World Domination/Faction Wars/Flag Captures.

Because Having Even A "Small" Amount Of Varium Awarded For Free Monthly, Would Give Their Faction An Unfair Advantage.

With All The Money Many Players Spend...This Should Be Unacceptable To Most.

Moderators put in countless hours every week doing the often thankless job of handling in-game reports and moderating forum topics. I will say that they do receive compensation for their responsibilities of keeping the game safe and fun, however, they are also under strict guidelines to not abuse their positions to gain an unfair advantage over regular players. We even have hardcoded systems implemented to exclude mods and other game staff from participating in certain leaderboards.

However, moderator compensation is completely up to the discretion of the developers and is not up for discussion and debate in the open forum.
