You Know... Recently Buffy Has Been Playing Some World of Warcraft. Buffy Has Also Been Playing Some XBOX 360 Games, Such As Batman Arkham City (Catwoman!) And Is About To Start On Elder Scrolls: Skyrim And The New Zelda Game For Wii. And Of Course, Buffy Has Always Been A Big Fan of AQW (Adventure Quest Worlds) And HeroSmash Is Fun Too "On The Side". Buffy Mentions This Because, In Order To Truly Rate EpicDuel, You Need Some Variety To Compare It Too. Rating ED Should Really Be About Two Things, FUN & Long Term Playablility And Getting Your Money's Worth. Compared To Other Games, Console... Online And Even Other Artix Games... Buffy Gives EpicDuel A Very Generous And Sentimental... OVERALL PLAY: ~ 6 /10 ~ Buffy Is Feeling Kind Because It's X-Mas Time And Should Point Out... This Game Is VERY Expensive To Pay For, Especially Long Term, If You Want To Get Alot Of The New Items Often And Stay Competetive. Unlike Other Games, Where Many Of The Upgrades Are Cosmetic (For Show), In EpicDuel, 8-16 Extra Stat Points, For Example, Can Really Be The Sole Difference That Decides A Battle. So If Players Want To Win ALOT, They Must Constantly Buy New Weapons And Enhance Them, At Least Partially, If Not Fully... In Order To Succeed And Maximize Their Playing Experience. The Biggest Problem Is, EpicDuel, Despite It's Very Premium Prices, Does Not Allow You To Get That Value Back. Selling Accounts Is Against The Rules. So If You No Longer Want to Play Or Cannot Afford To, The Money You Invested Is Gone. Unlike A Console Game Which You Can Resell When Completed For A Lesser Price Or Trade In For Another Game. The Lack Of An In Game Auction House Is A Shame, At Least Being Able To Get Some In Game Currency Back, Would Be Excellent, So You May Sell An Older Enhanced Weapon You No Longer Use Or Want... To The Player Pool (Community) And Get An Opportunity To Recieve Credits And Varium Back For It, Which You Could Use For Purchase Of Newer Items And Costly Enhancements. The "Shop" Price Return Is Weak, Especially On Older "Rares". The Varium Buy Back In Game Is A Bit Too Low. So With That Said... Bang For Your Buck... COST VALUE: ~ 1/10 ~ Finally, For Fun, As An Added Extra, I Will Include The Staff's Handling Of It's Players And The Community In General. The Frequent Delays And Sometimes Limited Lack Of Information Prior To A Release Has Always Been A Concern. In A Perfect World, 'Most' Releases Would Be On Time, Bugs Worked Out Prior To The Release, Not Last Minute. And The Credit/Varium Price Of New Items Would Be Known 2-3 Days Prior In The Design Notes... So That Players/Customers Can PLAN Both Their In Game Currency (Credits) And Real Life Money (Varium) Better. The Staff Also Has Made Many Promises Regarding Balance Issues And Desperatley Needed "Faction Improvements" And The Community Still Waits. Many Great Suggestions Going Unheard And Undone... Years Later... With That Said... Some Staff Do What They Can To Communicate With Us And Are Very Helpful (Ashari!). But The Developers, Titan And Nightwraith, Are Usually Silent And Distant Both In Game And Forums. And For The Record, Some Staff Have Given Both Myself And Others "Attitude" In This Very Forum, Often. Which Is Really Not The Way A Business Or Company Should Treat It's Best Customers And Hardcore Players Who Help Keep Both Their In Game Community/Battle System Going And Their Pockets Fat As Well. STAFF/PLAYER CONNECTION: ~ 3/10 ~ Buffy Could Say Much More. Like The EpicDuel Player Community Itself, The "Battle Engine", Etc... But EpicDuel Is A Business That Makes Alot Of Money Off It's Players... So The Most Important Aspects Are Above. Buffy Has Spoken.
