Late January - Late February: Valentines Gear
March - St. Patrick's Day Gear
April - Bunny Bazookas(yet to be named this year)
July - Independence Day Weapons
August - Dragon Weapons/Back to School Weapons
September - Pirate Weapons
October - Halloween Gear
December - Mid/Late January - Christmas/Frost Weapons

As you can see, Epicduel tries to create weapons to please many players including its paying customers. However, if you look closely within the gap of the timeline, there are several seasonal gears being released and gets outpowered by the next set after its time is over. The longest time for a seasonal item that will not get outdated so easily is the April promos which is the time when the bunny themed bazookas come out every year. These bazookas are the most powerful in-game and last for 1 year since it has 5-7 more stats than the other bazookas ever released.

The problem is that every month, since every seasonal weapon gets released and swapped for the next set is that they get outplaced so quickly and without permanent items in-game, it will increase gaps between many players(varium vs varium and varium vs non varium including non varium vs themsevles) in a short span of time.

The only way to preserve the game's gap between players is placing a set of permanent items in-game for every level in order to prevent powerful items from being too overpowered for a long time like every 2 or 3 months and if that happens, there can be a chance this game could improve battles

 Well thats point for last year stuff to be outdated if didn't do that we would spend less cash,

Weps outdate when lvl cap increase. At 35 lvl we need to start collecting weps again because they will be +35 dmg and +1 dmg = 6 stat str. Adding permanent items will not fix it.

only way to prevent this is to "buff" the weapons every year !!

but they wont do that , coz they noe if they did , then whoes gonna buy the "new weapons "


so frost , nthing can happen , juzz dont bother .... they come and they go.... and will continue to happen !!

Thank God they change so frequently, at last I will see more choices and not miss out on any seasonal I forgot about from the past 2 years.

They have to make you buy 4-5 10k varium packages a year to keep good cashflow.

don't spend the money and accept a lower win rate.

seriously, if you got a 50%+ winrate, what is the problem? I see many players winning with items from over a year ago.

I totally agree with OP. The events are too frequent. Basically, you will have to spend $50 every or two months to keep up with the new weapons.

 One aspect of this phase I am quite pleased is the lack of game breaker items. All the items within this stage have been grouped more close which means a longer competitive duration. And even better, promos which used to be either for high varium package or double the varium rate in-game is now available in-game for reasonable rate.

The only difficulty, as many mentioned prior is enhancements. I feel, once this issue is resolved, the game will have less issues of cost.

I also feel, if the game can incorporate older items in some fashion, it will provide a more enjoyable experience, since any item purchased never does go to waste or is extremely limited due to the strength of the item.

 This problem will get fixed once weapon standardization takes place. Also, you should wait for the new enhancement system to come out. Once those two updates happen you can expect to see a wide(r) vareity of more viable choices in battle.

Buffing items doesn't help because it makes more stat and inflation, which isn't good for those who can't or don't get rares.

true + when you enhance .. and buy a new wep you need to re enhance and now days that costs at least 20$ for a wep so is it worth it ?
i usually enhance 1 wep and keep it at least 6 months but by the end of 2-3 months its usually underpowered
so yea.... ed should concentrate less on weps and more on other aspects in the game that need updates such as the arcade which hasn't been updated in about 1 year

My suggestion is that we keep the potential of all gear relative to the current maximum level. The maximum level should not change fast (example 1 level per year or 5 new levels at once per year). It should not change fast because that influences released content to change accordingly. Upon a new level raise, a weapon could gain up to 4 stats and a damage point. This should be slowed waaaaaay down.

All players need time to adjust to the change so you can promote balance if slowing things down like so.

I'm still fine with frequent promotional releases (monthly)! As long as it is a promise that the further development of power in our gear is slower... not anything to do with promotions.

My advice is that there should be more weapon selections for non-variums on certain holidays.

 I don't really see the problem here...if anything, the lack of buffs to seasonal weapons prevent them from repeatedly surpassing each other in an endless loop that results in players repeatedly spending money to keep up with them. This statement is in reference to non-varium weapons.

If the original post (and the focus of this thread) is on varium weapons (if so, I assume it is about varium promos in particular), I still don't see a problem (though I do pay much less attention to varium weapons, since I am a pure non-varium user). If I'm not mistaken, recently promo items have not been significantly better than each other, but rather have different effects and stats that cater to different builds, as with seasonal non-promo varium items. This scenario doesn't seem to cause varium seasonals to be easily outdated or outclassed.

Hence, could someone enlighten me on the issue at hand?

Shame their isnt trading,

These wepons could find homes to many lower levels while reducing the extreme cost of the game at the same time.

 You got a point that no promos are released at a way to frequent rate even if the gap between the weapons is tiny people still think that they always have to buy the new weapons if not for the stat but for the ability which is the newest thing for gear maybe because people started to wise up that new gear isnt better or that Varium gear should have a better edge.

Anyway I lasted an incredibly long time with just gear from Beta I only changed to a new weapon, HeadHunter SMG, later because it offered a better tech boost then my old Desert Blaster so the old gear works just fine even against current gear

make enhancements like the ones in AQW (to get ur wep lvl higher) and this wouldn't be a problem.

Of course older weapons get outdated. Otherwise, players would actually be getting progressively WEAKER as we are continuously nerfed.
