Every release EpicDuel disappoints in some fashion or another. For the last month or so I have seen my class (blood mage) get continually nerfed week after week, making an already weak class even weaker (thats a total of 4 wee(a)ks in 1 sentence). This week was no different, and instead of coming in the form of a replaced skill or nerfed stat (like usual), it was this thing. So, whats my problem with the new bot? Any class without an offensive debuff (meaning w/o Malfunction or Smoke), has just been thrown under the bus. As you know, there are only 2 classes that don't have an offensive debuff, Mercenary and Blood Mage. While Mercenary has a passive that covers both defense and resistance (a debatable change), BloodMage is left to use skills that cost energy to cover their defenses. What you have to realize is that Blood Mage cannot take or regain energy, making it the only class that cannot do so, and therefore the class that must use its energy based skills all the more wisely. Not only that, but you must also consider that 2 of the top 3 classes in the game use smoke. Whats the significance there? Berzerker is considered the core damage skill for most Blood Mages, but it also requires that you hit your opponent. When smoked, most Blood Mages will spend their limited energy so that they can regain their defense, and have a better chance of successfully landing the cherished damage dealer (berzerker). The new bot gets rid of all this. It makes the limited energy I spend absolutely useless, and leaves me vulnerable to my enemies attacks. Further, I can say that in 2/3 matches it decreases the chance that I will hit my opponent. It is so sad to see this game degrade in the way that it has, and this was definitely a tipping point for me. Does the balance team not realize that the decisions they make effect every single class? Don't tell me to go get a new build, Blood Mage barely has any build options left at all, and the one I have worked on for the past month was utterly ruined by this bot. Where the assault bot is purely defensive and slows the pace at which your enemy can kill you, the Heartbreaker bot is purely offensive, and increases the rate at which your enemy can kill you. The worst part is that there is nothing I can do about it. What do you think? Do you see the problem here? Would you agree that this Bot promotes 1 build, while killing off many of the others? It seems being defensive (with skills) is no longer a valid option because your enemy now has control over what skills make sense. You see, an enemy with this new robot can now lower my defenses, and than lower the effectiveness of my preventative defense measure (which costs precious energy). Its redundant, its build breaking, and it needs to be fixed. I could say more, but in the interest of keeping this thread alive, I won't. Prophet *Sorry of the typos *Please do not flame
