One should look beyond personal interests and evaluate the feasibility and inherent validity of the proposition. Firstly, it may not be feasible to note who spent tokens in the arcade, and who did not, let alone who spent what amount of tokens. Secondly, even if this were possible, or if the proposition was altered for all players to receive tokens, those who entered the arcade knew that they would be taking a gamble. You invested tokens in something that never promised to be a reliable source of rewards and thus any loss is a consequence of your decision. Perhaps one may argue that it is unfair for those who had invested tokens into the arcade that arcade prizes can be won without the token price from the next update onwards. As aforementioned, it is your decision to make such an investment, and bear the consequences of it. It is similarly illogical for a person who had bought a television to demand a refund when it was discounted a few days later. Evidently, then, this proposition should not be accepted, due to both practical and principle concerns.
