Epic Duel is a very fun game to play by yourself or with a friend. By yourself you can do what you want, engage in most game features, and not have to worry about helping out your buddies. With friends, you can do 2v1 Bosses, coordinate a faction, and get help from your buddies. I was wondering how important people think having buddies in Epic Duel is and whether more features should revolve around that. Here is my little input: I have never sent a friend request nor kept a friend for more than a few days until this post. If I was sent a friend request I would accept it, chat a bit, help out if need be, and then delete them as soon as they were offline. It was simply not worth the time. Who wants to chat around if you could be getting valuable wins for that next weapon or level? In addition, battling and chatting is very hard to do. However, I have recently watched a few youtube videos on MMORPGs (I think that is what Epic Duel is considered) and have decided for myself that having buddies in these games is very important to maximize gameplay. The main battle system in Epic Duel is built around PvP and the only way to get a successful faction is if you have members you can communicate with. A friend could point out a flaw in your build or strategy that helps you win more games. A buddy will help out your faction so you can be competitive. Most importantly, a friend will make the game so much more fun. I and many others are what many call unhealthy gamers. This means playing simply for the glee in killing virtual people, being dominant, and losing valuable time in life if done to much. Studies show that this can cause increases in aggression and loss of social skills if done to often. Battling with a friend helps you focus less on the killing part and more on the winning part and/or the conversation you are having. If you battle when your friends are online and get offline when they get offline, this would help you get more sleep and do important things if you are an addict like me (has trouble getting to bed when not keeping track of time on Epic Duel and often finds homework not getting done). Right now many would agree the community is not as optimal is it could be. This happens when people let out their anger on other players. The more you battle, the more annoying things happen. This can be being unlucky, playing against OP (over powered) players, and just down right losing. If you do not have an empathetic friend to vent your frustration on or help you focus less on the winning part this can build up into a negative community member. All MMORPGs have this problem, and as the community gains put-down players the negativity grows. A more social community will make these put-down players have a harder time spreading and possible even sympathize with them so they can join the positive community. This is all great reasons to have buddies, and luckily you can already do that in Epic Duel! I just would like to see more features around this like expanding on 2v1 ally link, adding more buddy slots, and making factions more enticing. A tutorial could exist that emphasizes on and encourages beginners to get buddies for help. If buddies were to become a main part of Epic Duel it would mean a more positive community, larger player base, and a brighter future. At the end of the day how much does all your wins, achievements, and stars matter if you have no one to show?
