Ok so, before you close this thread up after the first few sentences, hear me out. So, as we all know, a 10k varium package is $50 right? Not many people can afford to buy it, therefor, your not getting as much money as potentially possible.
If you lowered the price, you would have WAY More sales. For example. 10k package cost- $30 dollars. You would actual make way more money this way, if you think about it.

Lets pretend you get say, 100 people to buy $50 dollar varium packages a week (I know this isnt accurate).
That would be $5,000 dollars.
Now lets say, you lowered the price to $30, you would have WAY more sells from family's that cant afford to fork out $50 dollars, maybe, another 200 people.
That would be $9000 dollars.

Even if my number's arent accurate, in the long run, you'll make money, even if you only get 50 extra sells a week.

.....Thoughts?

$50 really isn't all that much for luxury spending if you have a job. Think of it as like going to the movies and eating out. And if you don't have a job just get your parents who do have a job to pay for you. xD

^ You dont have a life like i do, my family is barely gettin by as it is, we only go out to eat once every, 2 months, if we're lucky.

Yes, I have a job, I don't beg my parents for money, infact, I help pay the bills. ALL my money, except about 20 dollars a week goes into bills, and some of the left over money i have to spend on groceries. Leaving me at $2-nothing.

Also, I didn't make this thread as purely a complaint about the cost of variums. I also made it to 'suggest' a way for Epicduel to make more money, AND have happier players.

i think you want to make it more affordable for you and then the others, it would not increase its profit but rather make you buy a 10k package at a cheaper price.

Any smart business man knows, If you sell your items at a price that MORE people can buy, BUT still at a fair price for you, you'll sell more than your competition.

And yes, I did also state the thread for my own benefit, but also as a suggestion for Epicduel to make more money. If your smart enough, you'll understand how selling them for less, will give you more sells.

raising the amount of varium it gives also increases sales :P so $50 should give you a promo item and 15k varium.

Hm, true.

But also increase the other ones a bit, say..

$5- 750 variums

$10- 1700 variums

$20- 3600 variums

$35- 8000 variums

This is just a suggestion.

I would just like to point a few things out - first things first, EpicDuel Suggestions or any where on the forums is no place for monetary discussion as is stated in the rules. We do not decide the price of Varium, they are set by the company taking into account everything that needs to be taken into account. So after I've explained it, I will have to lock it up.

If we're talking in business terms, then firstly the whole way Varium is set out is that no matter what your financial situation is, you can purchase a package. However, the fact is that each bit of Varium has a set value, therefore, the amount you can pay/will pay affects the amount you get. If someone cannot afford the top package, they can buy the lower packages. Sadly, to add value to the top package, that is the one that gets the weapons/item promos. The whole concept of Varium and most of the other games in-game membership or currency is that it is income inelastic, which means that the amount the average person earns going down should not affect sales too much, because they can then buy lower packages instead of higher ones. The revenue may drop a bit, but the demand will likely still be there, all-be-it for the lower packages.

The whole 'Any smart business man knows, If you sell your items at a price that MORE people can buy, BUT still at a fair price for you, you'll sell more than your competition.' is a fair comment to an extent, however it is all down to price elasticity. Right now, almost all games out there with membership and currency options and are of this level in terms of company size and player base, will have similar prices, obviously with possibly a few small differences. This means that the competition in the market is Non-Price related competition, it is all down to the product that is being sold as well as the game it is being sold in.

After the Omega release, we understood revenue would likely drop a bit, since now peoples Varium will last longer and will not be needed as often. The thing is though, this release was to help keep balance between earning things through money and earning things through time played. Before it was rather focused on money and people who purchased, though we did try to change that a lot, Omega has finally allowed it to happen much more. I can assure when prices are attached to the products, that a team of people who have studied business or understand business look into the best pricing strategy. Whether a price reduction would cause an increase in revenue is all down to PED (Price Elasticity Demand), which will have been taken into consideration. The idea is, if you cannot get the 10k package, you can get the 5k, or a lower package, you just miss out on the promos - if you really want the promo, then you always have the option to be patient and save up!
