I think we should bring out a new core that does the same effect of that gun that hits 85% on both targets BUT I think this may make support builds to hard to beat give me your opinions

Change the thread name from * aux hitts 2 targets * = Buff the support users. since people just spamming support 188, Both hit with aux then Both hit with multi? Lmao. Too OP, and generate too easy win. Everyone will just copy them.

Not supported in the least. Sorry but this would cause Support builds especially support merc's to one again dominate 2 vs 2. The game would become be a support merc or die.

I would agree to make it hit both targets, but deal only 40% damage to one target.

And I suggest 40% and not 85% because of two reasons:
- auxes already deal more damage than guns;
- support abusers already have high crit chance, so 40% damage is more than enough, since shooting at two opponents at once means double chance to crit one of them.

More than 40% would break the game.

I think 85% dmg would be too much because aux is stronger than sidearm

@Drianx 40% is too weak
If your aux did 30-36 +39 dmg your aux dmg range is 69-75 and 40% of that is 27-30. If i was a support merc I wouldn't be using that.
100% dmg to 1 player would be far better than 40% dmg to 2 players if you ask me

I think it is fine, not for the sheer damage, but for the tactical usefulness. Think about the following scenario - one of many:
- you are a support merc, you have rage and one enemy is in dead zone. You could kill him and also have good chance to crit against the other.

On a second thought ok, make it 60%.

Third thought: agreed with Trans below :).

Drianx, I'd say 50% would be fair. Total adds up to 100% which is normal Aux damage. Having an Aux and dealing even less damage would be pointless, even for tactical use.

On the second thought, 60% could be perfect. Auxes are stronger than Guns (due to cooldown) and that's why Spreadfire deals 85%. And because it's stronger, multi-damage (Spreadfire) on Aux would have to be that of below 85% but above 50%, thus 60% seems good enough. :P

I love how some people are so ignorant about formulas
If my aux does 50-54 dmg and they both have 27-33 def/res then i do 22 dmg on average
If I did 60% then i would deal 3-8 i think to both targets
Even if i abuse support and deal 67-73 dmg i would do 40 dmg but with the core i would do 12 dmg to both
Doesn't really add up to more dmg does it
Make it 75%

Then don't buy an Aux that targets both enemies. You realise that many players prefer to rage Dage's Boomsticks since it deals much more damage than on normal turn - unless, of course, you have high enough Strength. If you rage it then you'll get decent enough results. It has to be above 50% but below 85% - so ideal trade-off could be 65-70% at most to prevent major abuse. Remember that Support abuse can be deadly with Criticals around.

How about an an active core to aux that deals 50-85 % damage but has a cool down of 1-X turns?
