This is a great way to let people stop copying builds
if the administrators add this system no1 will be able 2 use the same build as another person in ed
like we got a dex build for an example if we get this build no1 else can use this build i mean if we use this dex build and some other person tries to use the same build the system wont allow this player to use this build
this will be the same for all the builds so players will make more and more builds

What if all the builds become taken? Then what?

@Cyber Dream
hmm good question but here's the answer to that :
if all the builds are taken and i am sure that is almost impossible (unless there are way to many players in ed )
people have to pay extra varium or credit (which he or she chooses) as the cost of copying a build

Not supported.
This makes no sense. What about low levels who can only make like 6 builds?

Not supported in the least.

This is basically telling someone you can use X build because of Y. Also not supported on the paying to use an already used build. Why should I have to pay to use a build that I want to use outside of the fee of retraining myself?

I don't really like this idea for the reason that players who have a level 35 account, which isn't used much, can actually reserve builds. I know that this will be accurate in stopping builds being copied but when people don't know how to make a successful build, they aren't going to become good any time soon. What EpicDuel needs is people who know what they are doing; not someone who doesn't have much understanding in how to make a good build. Tell me, did you copy someone's build when you were a rookie?

There are players who don't play EpicDuel frequently so that build they are using becomes rare. No one will have it and on top of that, beginners (possibly older players) won't have much time to observe how that particular build works. You're going to make everyone think harder when they want to win plus you might actually permit players to have a good reason to quit.

Charging Varium or Credits is a feeble suggestion to make. You're already being charged a certain amount of Credits (the formula for credit price is: (10 * Character's level) = Credit Price. Maximum retraining cost is 250 credits) and you're going to be making retraining more valuable. When there's a lot of players in EpicDuel, how do you think players can come forward with a good build when there's a lot of players in EpicDuel?

@ CN2025

Agility was a bad band aid for a gaping wound. The staff even admitted this and said they didn't like the idea. They removed it because HP was cut to 1 point per stat, and if you had high HP you would be lacking in other area unlike before.

except now is completely different.

part of the reason for agility being added back then was that Field Medic had a 3 turn cooldown and field medic could be improved by support.

this allowed tech mages to use high HP support builds (160-180 IIRC)
by having high hp and support, you allowed yourself to take in enough damage to receive enough energy to consistently use field medic over and over again.
essentially "Heal looping" as the build relied on healing constantly to win. (it was pretty hard to beat and had very high win %s)

so agility was added so that if you went over a certain amount of HP, you took in more and more damage per attack the enemy did on you.
this made it so that 170 hp builds took in 8 extra damage on every attack.

and at the same time, the added an extra cooldown to field medic to "stop" the build.

however the level cap was 31 back then, and there weren't as many gear as we have now. so basically things changed.

and today in omega, field medic has a 4 turn cooldown, does not improve with support like it used to,
and there's far less stats to deal with than before.
theres also that huge issue of stat progression (defense improved by 3 dex back then. and resistance improved 2-3 tech. primary/sidearm and auxiliary improved by 4 stats.

as for the topic, bad idea.
i hate build copying as much as the next guy but i'd be pretty pissed if i couldn't make a build just because someone else had a matching number of dex as me.

Not supported. This idea hasn't really been thought through; it simply wont work.

Besides, most of the overused builds are not carbon copy's of each other.
