so i typed epicduel review on google...

The cons say slow, repetetive, combat. I really cannot agree with that more. There are not enough choices, it also said that the game was completely Pvp based. That should give it more reason to work on balance then flashy new content. It also said the game has a "medium-sized" player base, unfortunately it is sort of small now. At its peak, I would have given epicduel 5 stars, but because of the seemingly disregard for balance and limited build choices and strategy, I can only give it 2 stars or 2.5 stars on the gameplay(battles) itself. The art is at least 3.5 though.

The review's old , sure , but with everything still revolving around imbalanced stats and lack of choice counters it's obvious it will get boring eventually.

As it's been stated previously in this thread, the review is prehistoric yet it still pertains to the EpicDuel of today. Maybe the Devs of ED should look further into that.

In my opinion, EpicDuel was never meant to be played for many consecutive hours. Just pop in for a quick 10 wins and then move on with the rest of your days. That's what browser/mobile games are supposed to be.

People try to judge and critic this game as if it was a PlayStation or Xbox game. It is just a small browser game with it's huge limitations. In my opinion, the developers also made the same mistake.
Just make the game very simple and fun as it was in beta or early gamma. This feature crazy omega phase leads to nowhere. All those complicated wars, cores and whatnot is just too confusing for a new player.
With the extremely small attention span of today's gamers, this game is going straight into a brick wall.

What are the most successful browser/mobile games ?? Bejeweled or that new Candy Crush madness .. extremely simple games. Take 2 seconds to learn. ED learning curve is insanely hard...

I seriously doubt they will be able to overcome that issue. Look at the server(s) numbers... it is not even full on a release day. Numbers don't lie.
I am sure there is some folks in Artix headquarters scratching theirs head right now and entertaining the idea of pulling the plug for good.
