Greetings my fellow hack 'n slashers. Happy to be here. I'm loving AQ3D so far. However, I'm getting connectivity issues, especially when playing in dungeons (though it can happen outside of dungeons as well, but not as frequently). I most often get the following message after being kicked out of the game: "Remote server could not be reached. Failed to connect to game.aq3d.com port 443. Timed out." I've looked up tutorials on how to create a new "inbound rule" for Windows Firewall. I'm fairly new to this sort of thing (computers are not my forte). I'm unsure of a few things: (1) Do I select TCP or UDP as the port "protocol"? (2) Are there any other ports besides 443 that I should specify? (3) Are there other system/security settings I should be altering to ensure a consistent connection? Maybe it's an issue with Steam? (FYI I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium, 64-bit) I've tried many things: resetting my router; disabling my anti-virus (Eset NOD32); and connecting via ethernet cable. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Unless I can fix this issue, the game is unplayable. More importantly, I don't want to be known on the server as "the guy who leaves dungeons sporadically." Thanks.
