I can't help but wonder why EpicDuel is subsidising every other AE game.

I just worked out that the money I have payed to play to become an "average" varium player in this game for just over a year would have given me 25.5 years membership in AQWorld with 127,500 added AC coins!!

Gosh! I don't even want to think about converting it into my DF account because I would probably be dead before I used all the DF currency (DC's) I could have bought.

When I started playing ED, when AE merged, I realised after a while that this game was going to cost me more to play but never in my wildest dreams did I think it was going to cost me as much as it has. The prices and features just keep escalating. (War kills, enhancements, rares leaderboard and class changes)

I feel sorry for children players in this game who save long and hard to get these varium packages only to find that they go in the blink of an eye.

I can only wish and hope that someone from the Artix Entertainment stable that is responsible for overseeing the pricing on this game would reconsider this games future and make it the truly enjoyable game it was meant to be.

Agreed. At the moment few people are satisfied with the game. Varium people are unsatisfied because every varium release costs them $50 and non varium people are unsatisfied because we never get good weapons, which makes variums overpowered.

Agreed, It's really expensive. But what can we do? We just see our money flash before our eyes and BAM! One month later there is a new ultra wep, and we buy another pack, next month another and so on..

I came to this game because it was an AE game with trust.

I wonder if Artix would condone the insatiable appetite this game has acquired for varium?

For $10.00, you can play Warpforce with full features for life.
For $20.00, you can play AQ, DF, and MQ with full features for life.

For $4.17, you can play AQW with full features for a month. If the large 1 year packaged is purchased.
For $12.99, you can play World of Warcraft with full features for a month. If the large packaged is purchased.
For $50.00, you can play ED with optimum equipment for less than a month.

I have played all AE games, and ED is definitely the highest quality game in my opinion, but its pricing does seem corrupt and is by millions of miles the most expensive online game I have ever seen in my life. In less than a month, superior items and promos keep coming out, and we have to keep paying to buy the weapon and get the enhancements, which cost more than the weapon. This is the only way to keep up.

@Shadronica O.o, how much money is that? I don't play AQW. I still can't believe I've spent $265 on 1 game in 6 months. Imagine if I was a Alpha Tester! That would be at least $500!

Aqw gives 5kacs just for a additional of $5 Dollars for every package of membership, thats way really good for players. I buy acs instead of membership but still it is very very fair for the money spended.

like i said, the prices are because probably all the admins are millionaires by now, laughing at us 'look they just keep spending money all i have to do is type a few lines of code everyday, sit and eat my coffee, and watch my self become rich.

@ m16dern warfare: The fact is, the ED Devs are not rich, they get a regular salary, all the money goes to AE, all of the money spent on any of the games (AQ, WF, DF, MQ, AQW, ED, HS) goes to AE. As I've said before, you pay for the AP (Artix Points) on your master account, and whether you spend those points on Varium or AC, the money goes to the same place. Anyway my point is the developers of ED are not rich, they make a regular workers salary just like every other developer that works for AE.

Thats good example , WOW the best online game in world is cheaper than ED (Which is a flash based 2D online game) , my friends invited me in WOW but i realy cant decide because WOW require much time to lvl up and im already 33 lvl in ED and know almost every thing in ED

The thing i cant understand is if AE set the prices why the other AE games much cheaper than ED why we are the ones spent tons of money in ED

Off topic: This reminds me of the starcraft cheat lol.

On topic: Yes why can't devs just make stuff cheap. If they realise that varium items are gonna turn cheap, MORE people will come to play but they're choosing the hard way by doing $50 promo items.

I 100% support, this is completely stupid, prices it may have been ok in the first couple of weeks but now it;s a sustainable game thanks to the Artix company collaterol. What i don't understand is if wiseman said is true andd al money is given to the company and then rationed why do the ED dirvs continue to RIP US OFF! thier is no other word to describe what they are doin to us and the constand rip off releases are not making it any better!!!

@wiseman: even though you might make sense... my common sense speaks louder. I really believe you, but i don't believe anything the head staff tell me.

the only way i see to solve this is by every varium supporter.. stop supporting... if we all stop... perhaps we could make some difference..

U have to remember ED wasnt part of AE for a good period of time were titan and night wraith thought of a stable way of getting money most of which isnt theirs ive spent $100 on this game and i have agree the prices are inflated compared to the other games i play (i dont play WOW) i got every upgrade for every other AE game and when i started ED and founder came out i instantly wanted it and it was worth it but i went through my varium quickly (wasted on battle boost) and i got another and i actully spent rely wisely but it still only lasted me 3.5 weeks. Also its tough for me to chose between AQW memeber ship or varium im also a founded in AQw and i played alot before ED and ive only spend $150 on AQW but that was 2.5 years of memebership which i was totally worth it being a memeber in AQW was fun u get way more things only cost gold (or ac's which i spend on space) and non memebers get treaty with nice things too i actuly liked nonmember things more (except CC) and now i still a non member but i still look cool and still farm things like everyone else.

Yup, have to agree. Enough is enough and it may be time for me to move on!

Wiseman has said if we don't like it then just leave. So if that is the level of respect the long time supporters of this game are shown well then like most things in life there is a time for us all to say I can find better things to waste my time and money on.

My thread opener actually came as a shock to me.

I just can't believe that Artix Entertainment with the wonderful reputation they had gained can have a game that is this expensive.

I feel that somewhere soon I too will have to make my decision as to where I will spend my time and money in the future.

I know by far that ED prices are just too much. Seriously.
This is how I know.

I play AQ, DF, HS, AQW & ED.
I've been with AE for over 7 years. (Check my AQ page to see the date)
After the 7 years I've been with AE & over a year with ED, I've spend more money on ED than I have in the other AE games.

@G00ny, if wiseman really said if we don't like it then leave. He really has no say in this. He get's everything free, he might of payed way back in Beta, but times have change. Gamma is so overpriced now, how are we supose to like it, lol?
Yeah, we're supose to like getting rip off, if we don't we're supose to quit. Ain't gonna happen since this game has my money in it.

I actually think it's stupid in first place for children waste there money on this game. I really don't know why many of you pay for site when you yourself barley on here. btw I am not try started flame.

@mir.

I lost enthusiasm for this game the day that that enhancements were brought in for our guns and aux. Then the day Juggernaut was released and I had to kill low levels that had pressed to go into 2v2 and try to explain to them what was happening killed a piece of me. :(

This game is unlike any other game that I've ever played in life. This game is for the rich, you buy your victories, instead of actually using skill and earning it.

I think they brought that in too make even for non varium after that nerf they did all classes.
