is this really a good feature???.....seems to me it leads to abuse by ppl impersonating other players...i'm in favor of disabling it.....thoughts?

 The feature itself is nice... but it opens up hundreds of possiblities for hacks etc...

That is so unfair Miraged. I remember a while ago when this happened to someone else. Both were banned in error. Wiseman said that there is something they can do to make sure they only ban the one they need to.

Hope you get unbanned soon.

ty fay....i reported this impersonator 3 days ago...i hope he/she isn't still running wild :( i also included wise on my pm so hopefully someone will fix this whole thing

I'm sorry for you MirageD, but Titan should develop a system like this , e.g. Fay Beee is a legend so I want to impersonated her so I change my name to Fay Beeee. Many of the players don't diference or don't notice the extra "e". So the system should work this way.

^ that would work.....it's just right now ppl can make a name soooo close to someone else's....the person impersonating me is using ...MIraged... my name is ...Miraged... note the capital "I" in the impersonator's name

Also people like you Fay Beee and Miraged, the record of wins can save you from a ban. You are in all time leaderboards so just looking at your record, a Dev/Mod should recognize it is not you but an impersonator. I will add my idea to the Feature Suggestion Section

I agree i took the Name Fay Thought it be a Nice to have short Names But yet I get all spammed by saying Nice vids which than hit me they are referring me to fay Beee

So Now i want to change my username which i still am thinking of right now tbh But i think that take name changes away And put in Gender Change.

i'm not for gender changing either....both of those features encourage....hiding your past indiscretions....you can always start a new acct if you want to start over

well Gender change there is no prb considering that the name will not be changed and u can easily identify that person Unlike name changes its way to easy to hide

 I have yet to see someone try to be me but with a name like One Winged Angel how many people will try to be me and not just go for the much shorter Sephiroth.


But yeah i would be pretty peeved if i was MirageD right now i mean someone going aroun dpretending to be you and you getting in trouble that shouldn't happen

 Name change was a highly-requested feature, and the reason we placed such a high real-life-money cost on it was to prevent it from being abused.

 Cindy i dont beleive we wish for the name change system to be remove i think we just want stricter rules in place so that people dont end up getting punished for something someone else did

Holiday, sometime players at lvl cap impersonate others, many cases have been presented here.

I recently saw people claiming to be miraged and comical but added they can get me free varium required I give them account details.

It does present a problem, yes. So, MiragED, you say the impersonator has a capital "I" in ...MIraged...? Well, if a dev could quickly change it so that capital letters are the same as standard, problem solved. Seeing as you also have confirmation of your actual identity, it couldn't be too hard...
Then again, I'm no expert on coding, so I have no idea how difficult it would be to do so. I plan on changing names, I just need to get more varium, which I'm far too lazy to work for at the moment, with school and whatnot.

So, anyways, to talk about the subject, yes, it's a good feature. ED isn't overpopulated (yet), so for us, we have time to customize as we want to. Lots of names out there, and I want the achievement anyways :D

 People will try their best to scam using any method to gain trust.

The game needs to add a special tutorial on protecting their ED account to avoid issues like this. Much like the animation they done for the story-line of the game, this could also be done as well.

People will mimic names also for appreciation of the player, and not always has intent to do something bad.

It is a difficult situation, but we, as players, are quite limited with options.

Gaining variums is so easy My friends told me that they found out ppl use hack credit cards

U can use ur Phone to get Variums i gotten 10k with my Phone

u can get it as a gift card Or even uc an use Bill My Home Phone so Much ways to get variums that u cant even imagine So yea that is How People Abuse them

I still want Gender Change Hahaha.. Ill fight for it and try my very best to get it In game because some Of us are Really inneed
