Deleting Characters

Don't you guys think you should be able to delete characters on your account? You know for any given reason. I mean you have six 6 slots so what if something happens to one of your characters like a hacker hacks them or you have the wrong name by accident? Or some annoying relative such as older/younger sibling or cousin messes with your account while your gone and makes a character on it. Don't you think you should be able to delete it? Just tell me if you guys agree. Or if you don't agree please state why. Thanks.

Edit: I just hope this doesn't get put in the suggestion thread sense that is barely ever seen and no one ever gets any feedback on post their. I am a person who likes feedback and I'm sure many others do aswell. So hopefully the mods don't move this. Sense this is not really a suggestion just a idea that I wanna have peoples feedback on.

i think we should be given the option to delete our characters, its annoying to see a bunch of chars that you want to delete but can not

^I agree espiecially if they where created a long time ago and now have no more use. I mean I don't understand why the devs did not add that feature. I mean what is the problem with deleting characters on our own account? Its not like its gonna make you lose money or popularity or anything. They have it on HeroSmash so why not on here aswell?

u know they will use the excuse of getting hacked.
just like they used it for making deltas and now frost weapons unsellable.
because even if u ur item cant get hacked during the time it was there, theres no stopping people from deleting it after the promo is gone.

u know why they do this? so they dont have to worry about refunding people later.
i mean i get it if ur scammed. if ur scammed, then alright, ur stupid for falling into it.
but if u get hacked hacked. then the devs should assume responsibility just like i am responsible for not giving away my info.

Using your same logic, isn't smart that a hacker can't just delete your entire account or your mean brother can't delete your entire account on a whim? The no delete is for safety reasons. I think there should be a way to clear your characters out if you choose but only from your master account screen and not from a normal game screen. Master accounts are better protected so that might be better suited for this. I don't know the logistics so perhaps someone could ask a DEV and see.

 Way back when the saying was deleteing an account would mess with the Master Account system and that would be an issue with Epicduel becasue unlike AQW, MQ, DF and AQ our entire ED account is based off of our master account so work would prolly have to be done on both the Master Account system and the Epicduel system just to let us delete characters.

 It should be like this: You click delete, then in the 24 hours you can recover your char and after 24h it gets perm deleted.

 It's not possible to delete a character regarding this was done to protect players
from losing their characters if their accounts were hacked or stolen.
Examples: You play with friends, and... Or for other reasons etc.
So, you can recover your account and possible(not sure) including all the items you had in your inventory.

Why do you want to delete a character while you just can create a new one since you can't delete a character?
If you already have 6 characters, you just can create a new Master Account for new 6 characters. :)

So, you can create multiple Master Accounts.

Did/do they actually mean multiple forum accounts instead of multiple Master Accounts?

  • In case you're not aware, I think that Bandwidth and Storage isn't really an issue for EpicDuel. :D

    		Yes, i think Execessive account should be deletable AS LONG AS they have not had varium purchased and have under 10,000 total wins (otherwise, a hacker could completely erase someone account that they've spent hundreds of hours on.)

    		Hmmm I never thought of that. You all have provided very good reasons. Perhaps before you delete a character you must enter a secret password seperate from your normal password? Just incase a hacker figures out your password they wont be able to know your secret password. But if their a real hacker that can take over accounts without needing to know any infromation then thats a different story.

    Like rej said perhaps you should not be able to delete any character if their has been varium purchased on that character. Or if they have over 1,000 total wins. Would that might work?

    		You are not allowed to delete your main character. But you can delete the others. That's what I think. I support this idea. Especially since it saves some names.

    		i made 2 extra noob acc to test the new acc system implemented in epicduel so i want to get rid of them :D

    		Better yet,you can delete an account which is below level 30.You can't delete one which is 30+. That's the best thing I can think of.

    AVA, it appears that this TOS is used both for the Master Account System and the forum, there are many sections that refer to the use of the forum and others that refer to purchasing points on the MAS. My guess is you are correct in assuming that they mean not to have multiple forum accounts and not multiple MA. Since the TOS are ambiguous on this subject I think you could make that case clearly. I have more then one and I'm not scared to admit to it.

    As an aside, if you made many players in the old ED game(not forum), when they carried over to the new ED you were given a Master Account for each of them. Thus, old ED players could, in theory, have dozens of MAs through no fault or attempt to deceive on their part. This is what happened to me. Remember, there was a time you could only make one player per account.(I'm old enough to remember that at least as long as I take my Alzheimer's pills)

    		^i doubt that's what it refers to, since, last i checked, it is impossible to link multiple epicduel accounts to the same master account (although i may be that i didn't look into the matter deeply enough), yet even the staff openly admit to using alternate epicduel accounts.

    how do u think they have multiple accounts when doing testing for releases?
    im not talking about the 6 chars.

    see if i was a tester, i would test all classes for solo, team, jugger.
    then i would go again and do it on a second account. as a non varium.

    doesn't look like a typo.
    see typos is usually a letter thats already in a word. but u added a whole new word to it. thats not a typo.
    point is, dont get so defensive for ur mistake.
