There will always be an aspect of luck in the game.
But luck will help you as well as hinder you both equally.
(It may seem like you are having a unlucky streak but it will balance itself out).
Skill is involved as you need to react properly if you are unlucky so therefore I think that luck is fine the way it is.

It's only luck if you are guaranteed a loss if someone crits or deflects you. You CAN get a build to fix that, but it takes a long time and lots of testing (none of which I have)
