Hey guys,

Today I'd like to talk a little bit about credits. 32 credits per battle can be a lot, or almost nothing, depending on the current state of the game. For example, when you could kill 15 NPC's every hour for fast credits and players level 30-32 were an automatic, fast win, 32 credits was very reasonable.

However, in Omega, this is not true at all. Almost every victory is hard-won and requires you to pay attention, as well as always taking upwards of 4 turns. (Do NOT talk to me about 2 turn win Berzerker mercs. That should not be possible without an abysma win % and needs to be dealt with.) Thus, 32 credits per battle is simply too low. Imagine if at the start of omega you had 1,000-odd credits. It would take you 188 battles (6000 credits / 32 credits per battle) to buy ONE skill core. I think this credit reward should be increased to maybe 40 per battle, just to reflect the increased per win difficulty and time consumption in Omega.

then buy varium if you don't have the patience, if credit reward increases then the item price must be increased too, you are getting the cool items for free afterall, its either time or money, if you can't deal with it then buy varium, it is a shortcut to get the item you want, most people won't spend anymore money on this game as far as i have seen, now you want to make getting cool items with credits even easier? are you trying to make this game shut down or what?

almost every battle requires you to pay attention, and you should pay attention, not just repeating the same process over and over again, this is a bad excuse for a increase of credit rewards.

Anyways, I agree that the reason they kinda want people to have a hard time is because of the varium

You completely misconstrued my meaning. My POINT is that because winning both requires effort, more time, AND there are no NPCs to farm therefore current credit earnings don't even come close to what they are.

I understand your concern about the diminishing value of varium.

My thought would be to further increase the ratio of varium to credits. Right now it would cost 250 credits to add one stat point to a weapon or 10 varium, at a ratio of 25 credits to 1 varium. For cores, the ratio is a mere 14:1. For buying a new item, the cost is a 22:1 ratio. I think this ratio should be increased further, so the "convenience" currency will become even more convenient.

PvP drops would be nice too.

i agree with trizz with this one. I guess the credits are fine with the current system of unlimitted NPCs. its just a matter of patience and perfect build for NPCs. as for me, i am using a 25-30+10 dex and 25-30 resistance with 18-22 str. works perfectly against level 35 mechachillid with no losses (even if he is super lucky with crits and stuns). I im also farming Titan for bacon drop which can be sold for 40 credits (another way to earn free credits and i currently have 27 bacons on my inventory) although Titan was really tough and can get very lucky with crits even though i use intimidate. Asking for increase in credits is too much already. just my opinion.

there is plenty of ways to gain credits, PVP drops, NPC drops, mission rewards, power hour, unlimited NPC battles and the normal credit reward from PVP, i have checked most of the stuff ingame, to be honest the item prices and the core prices should be increased, i find it ridiculously easy to get credits even if it means losing a battle 50% of the time, i doubt i would buy varium again when credits are this easy to get, and the cool varium items have a ridiculously cheap price(20k-25k credits).

To be honest I did not think of the credit/varium issue when I posted the thread.

Just throwing an idea out there, but at this point I dont support it myself anymore.

@above its good to have a idea, but i do recommend that you think it through first before throwing it out there, the results often turnout better if you have thought it through.

I believe 32 credits were set when the level cap was lvl 32, the cap raised, but not the credits ...

Not really no. Rewards were adjusted to work with a ratio of Credits:Experience, not 32 because level cap was 32.. <.< I tried to dig up my IRC logs but cannot seem to have them for exact numbers, or I didn't save logs back then. Will edit this post once I dig up appropriate quote from DNs (and I believe it was Delta as well, so Lvl 32 is outta the question). Well tis blows, seems like it isn't in DNs either. Could've been posted just on Forum by one of the Staff & threads get cleaned after a while so no luck here. >.>

@holyfighter no, the 32 credits goes for all levels, even a level 1 gain 32 credits in 1v1 or 64 in 2v2 if they win. unless of course they make the credits that players earn scaled by their level, but then they need to increase the credit price of all items.

and just like trans said, the 32 credits isn't related to the level 32.

guyz there was a time when lvl 30 was cap yep early alpha with no auxes... any way I GO TO PVP AND WIN lvl 29 (i am lvl 34) so i win some1 5 lvls LOWER than me in 4-5 turns. When i fight npc (lvl35) i win in 14th turn AND GET THE SAME CREDITS! seriously it shouldn't be like that because noone is doing npcs because they arent worth it. IT ISN'T THE MAIN SORCE OF CREDITS AS IT SHOULD BE!

don't include me dude because i've been doing Titan and Yeti Hulk for 3 days now. I was able to collect 15k credits for farming titan (not including the 27 bacons i received as drop) and im doing Yeti Hulk for Yeti Pelts and extra 12 credits every win.

I guess some players are just being too impatient (again). And its really sad because not all players realized that NPC's are unlimited and doesn't count towards to your record incase you loose. I guess everyone just have to sort out their priorities. As for me, my main objective now to farm as many credits as i could before frysteland ends in order for me to buy the baby yeti and upgrade to Omega Yeti. playing this game without any objective really makes you impatient. Enjoy guys and have fun with omega.

P.S titan seems to be very tough, with lot of crits and stuns. But still, fun to battle as it improves your strategies and skills.

If all npcs 5 lvl lower gave 32 credits the problem would be solved, or maby some reasonable lvl +35 npc that give more credits.Improoving battle reward would be wrong, the best thing is to slay npc to earn credits a bit faster and make pvp to get wins, but now it s not convenient.
