[GIMP] Space Tutorials! - [Udated 10/26]

Here i will add a series of space tutorials.

The first one is ready - Planet Creation tutorial - Beginer

This tutorial is just the basic planets. Don't follow the tutorial exactly, try to add your own touch.

Space Background Tutorial
1.Download this GIMP gradient i created http://www.mediafire.com/?7tzetr31t1n
2.save it in the gradient folder "C:\Program Files\GIMP-2.0\share\gimp\2.0\gradients"
3.Restart GIMP (for the gradient to be recognized by GIMP)
4.Open a new image with a black layer
5.Filters->Noise->Hurl...
Set Randomization on 1 and repeat on 1 and click OK
6.Layer->Colors->Desaturate
7.Create a new layer and then Filters->Render->Clouds->Solid Noise...
Set Detail to 15, and increase the X and Y size to at least 8. Click OK.
8.Set the layer mode to "Hard Light" and opacity to 50
9.Duplicate the layer, Layer->Transform->Rotate 180 Degrees
10.Merge All Layers with clicking Ctrl+M and clicking OK.
11.Select the gradient you downloaded earlier - it should be called "Blue Galaxy"
12.Filters->Colors->Map->Gradient Map and you are done!

Oh, and a way to get a starry background is to get the painter-image/pattern-whatever-It's-called-tool, and get the starry one. It's called starfield, I think.
