Next time, you should consider a more legible font. But it's not bad for beginners.

I did a couple brush strokes to fill up open space and add a little contrast

I remember these effects from yesteyear (thats a good thing)
Scribbles could create fire not long back. but i'm on PS now but i might be able to convert it

Mweh not much tweaking to do just the displace. I hadn't originally read it lol. Emm.... Font looks like Dark Crystal Am I not right ? It s amazing in Tags/Siggys but tuts you want a plain text like COMIC MS

it really isnt that hard to read dark glory.

0ok heres a summary.

brush around abit with a circle brush.

smudge all around (with jitter at 2) wit the circle brush until it gets like stage 2

displace it

lighten middle and darken sides.

Then do what you like

Dats mah result. I tink it turned out pwetty koolio. Kirby commands you all to bow down to Zenron for making awesome tutorials (But they're hard unlike this one). I think I kinda did bad rendering Kirby I try to smudge or blurr the edges to get rid of lil black spots.
