Banners & Tags for Encyclopedia Entries

Legendary AK!!!


 There are quite a few tags that the DF Encyclopedia uses. Here are a set of guidelines that should be followed for all further posts and for corrections to earlier posts. 

  • [image]https://media.artix.com/encyc/df/tags/DA.png[/image]
    Description: Dragon Amulet Required - User must have a Dragon Amulet to access or use this content. Should also be used to mark shops that serve only DA items.
    Align: To the left of the title (should be the first tag in the line).
    Apply To: Accessories, Badges, Classes/Skills, Houses/House Items, Locations/Quests/Events/Shops, Pets/Guests, Stackable/Non-Equippable Items, Weapons.

    Description: Guardian Required - User must have verified a Guardian account to access or use this content. Should also be used to mark shops that serve only Guardian items.
    Align: To the left of the title.
    Apply To: Accessories, Badges, Classes/Skills, Houses/House Items, Locations/Quests/Events/Shops, Pets/Guests, Stackable/Non-Equippable Items, Weapons.

    Description: Dragon Coins Required - Item can be bought or sold for DC. Should also be used to mark shops that serve only DC items.
    Align: To the left of the title.
    Apply To: Accessories, Badges, Classes, Houses/House Items, Shops, Pets, Stackable/Non-Equippable Items, Weapons.

    Description: Defender Medals Required - Item need to be merged with DM or one of its base items has such requirement. Should also be used to mark shops that serve only DM items.
    Align: To the left of the title.
    Apply To: Accessories, Classes, Houses/House Items, Shops, Pets, Stackable/Non-Equippable Items, Weapons.

    Description: Artifact - Artifact items and class effects. Should also be used to mark shops that serve Artifact items.
    Align: To the left of the title.
    Apply To: Accessories, Classes/Skills, Shops, Stackable/Non-Equippable Items 


  • [image]https://media.artix.com/encyc/df/tags/Rare.jpg[/image]
    Description: Rare Tag - Content is no longer available or obtainable for someone who does not already have it. This is only for permanent rares (gone until decided otherwise). Limited Quantity Shops (LQS) items should have this tag from the start. This tag should only be applied if there is no better tag that describes that content like War or Seasonal.
    Align: Above title with same alignment.
    Apply To: Accessories, Badges, Classes/Skills, Houses/House Items, Locations/Quests/Shops, Monsters, NPCs, Pets/Guests, Stackable/Non-Equippable Items, Weapons.

    Description: Retired Tag - Content has been replaced with a newer version of itself, or removed from the game entirely. This will most commonly be found with armors and quests.
    Align: Above title with same alignment.
    Apply To: Accessories, Badges, Classes/Skills, Houses/House Items, Locations/Quests/Shops, Monsters, NPCs, Pets/Guests, Stackable/Non-Equippable Items, Weapons.

    Description: Seasonal - Content that is available periodically, for example during holidays, and is likely to return next year.
    Align: Above title with same alignment.
    Apply To: Accessories, Badges, Classes/Skills, Houses/House Items, Locations/Quests/Shops, Monsters, NPCs, Pets/Guests, Stackable/Non-Equippable Items, Weapons. 


  • [image]https://media.artix.com/encyc/df/tags/Temp.png[/image]
    Description: Temporary Item - Item either goes in the temporary backpack or is available only during a given quest. Pet that you can invite but does not exists in your backpack, class or guest that is only available during a given quest and removed when exiting that quest and any item that is only accessible from the temporary backpack. If you can take the Guest with you once that quest ends, then that Guest is considered permanent, and the temp tag should not be used.
    Align: Above title (left alignment after any other tag)
    Apply To: Accessories, Classes, Pets/Guests, Stackable/Non-Equippable Items, Weapons. 


  • [image]https://media.artix.com/encyc/df/tags/WarEvent.png[/image]
    Description: War Event - This tag is used in place of the Retired tag for wars. If something has this tag it's automatically assumed that it's retired, or soon to be retired if the entry is put up before the war is over. If the content becomes permanent this tag should be replaced by the Permanent War tag (the clawed through war tag).
    Align: Centered above title.
    Apply To: Locations/Quests/Events/Shops. 


  • [image]https://media.artix.com/encyc/df/tags/PermaWar.jpg[/image]
    Description: Permanent War - A War Event that became permanent content in the game. This tag replaces the War Event tag.
    Align: Centered above title.
    Apply To: Locations/Quests/Events/Shops. 


  • [image]https://media.artix.com/encyc/df/tags/Titan.png[/image]
    Description: Titan Battle - Titan monsters and quests involving titan fights.
    Align: Above title.
    Apply To: Quests, Monsters

    Description: Alexander's Story - Marks DA only content which is part of Alexander's Saga. This tag should be use for content only available from the Alexander special character slot. If the content is also available elsewhere, this tag should not be used.
    Align: Above title.
    Apply To: Accessories, Classes, Locations/Quests/Events/Shops, Monsters, NPCs, Pets/Guests, Stackable/Non-Equippable Items, Weapons.

    Description: Archknight - Marks content which is part of the ArchKnight saga (Ash's story) and available to DA holders and verified Guardians. This tag should be use for content only available from the Ash special character slot. If the content is also available elsewhere, this tag should not be used.
    Align: Above title.
    Apply To: Accessories, Classes, Locations/Quests/Events/Shops, Monsters, NPCs, Pets/Guests, Stackable/Non-Equippable Items, Weapons.

    Description: Special Offer - Marks promotional content available by buying something outside the game itself (like DC packages or https://www.heromart.com/), or given away by staff members in trades or conventions.
    Align: Above title.
    Apply To: Accessories, Badges, Classes/Skills, Houses/House Items, Locations/Quests/Events/Shops, Pets/Guests, Stackable/Non-Equippable Items, Weapons.

    Description: Doom Knight Item - Special items available when buying the DoomKnight Package ( Doom Knight offer). This tag supersedes the Special Offer tag.
    Align: Above title (left alignment).
    Apply To: Accessories, Badges, Classes, Weapons. 


  • [image]https://media.artix.com/encyc/df/banners/SpecialEvent.jpg[/image]
    Description: Special Event - This banner should be applied to special or seasonal entries that have no better banner. Should not be used with location banner.
    Align: Centered at the top of the entry.
    Apply To: Locations/Quests/Events/Shops.


  • <location or event banner>
    Description: Location Banner - Marks a location or event. For quests the banner marks the place you receive the quest (point of origin) and not where the quest occurs in terms of plot. If an entry belongs to more than one location/event, no banner at all should be used. For monsters apply it only to seasonal monsters.
    Align: Centered at the top of the entry.
    Apply To: Locations/Quests/Events/Shops, Monsters, NPCs.


    If in doubt, ask or leave the tag out and a DF Encyclopedia AK will add it in.
