All Universal Forum Rules relating to posting behavior apply!
These should be the first thing you read when you join the forums. They apply everywhere; this means that any behavior prohibited by the Universal Rules is prohibited in this forum. This means no flaming, no trolling, no spamming including your signature and emoticons.
Art Discussion only
This forum is for the discussion of art; however, we do not want to hear about the grilled cheese sandwich that bears a striking resemblance to the Mona Lisa. This is the place for conversation regarding stylistic influences, specific artists, different media, etc. – it's a place for the community to come together and share interests about the many facets of art.
Keep it Friendly
This forum should be a safe and enjoyable place for people to spend their time and share their interests; courtesy is not optional. If you have a problem with another user, the thread How to Deal with Problems with another Person is a valuable resource. Don't hesitate to PM one of The Gallery Archknights noted in the post below with any questions or concerns.
Let The Gallery Team Do Their Job
We have Moderators and AKs for a reason. If you see an issue you think we have missed, please PM one of The Gallery team members listed below with a link and a summary of the issue and let them handle it. Responding to rule violations with mini-modding just makes things worse; alerting a moderator and not posting is the best way to deal with a problem.
Stay on Topic
Discussion topics have a fair amount of leniency; tangents are fine, but hijacking is not. If you have your own idea of what to discuss, use the  button.
However…
One Thread Per Topic
Duplicate topics create spam; there is no need to discuss the same topic over more than one thread. If there's a specific aspect of a subject you would like to explore in more detail, fine, but know that it is subject to the forum team's discretion.
